Let me start off by saying I am a huge Myles Jack fan and would LOVE to have this kid on the phins. BUT I keep reading that his ideal NFL fit is the WILL LB position and if that truly is the case then I dont think you take a 4-3 OLB in round 1. If he is going to play MLB, then I am all for it and might even entertain moving up a little for him because he is that good.

So I ask, for those in the know, can anyone tell me if he fits our D at MLB or OLB?

I don't see any issue with either. He might project best as a will but Mike would be where his value lies in miami. The knee thing scares me off though - microfracture is no joke - and we already have the most injured LB group in the league with the inclusion of Alonzo - so that's crazy risk for a team with our holes. If the doctors sign off on him then fine, but don't trade up to get him.

He's never had micro fracture and the word on all this is it's just a rumor. He had a meniscus tear that was stiched up, not even trimmed. The injury stuff is all overblown and to be honest I would not be surpised if Miami was the one making those rumors to get him to fall. His injury was not that severe.

I hope that's the case for his and possibly our sake, but it's not always a smoke screen. It's not like he wasn't out for the year with the knee ... if he gets cleared then great but I'm still cautious ... have to hit with the first rounder.

He might be the best coverage LB I've seen since I've been closely paying attention the past 10 years or so ... love the prospect ... will defer to the doctors in which case.

ideal fit in a 43 is wolb assuming he gets the athlete back post injury

for Miami the correct fit is weakside

Let's also take note that this will be a 4-3 under defence run by Vance Joseph similar to seahawks, where Jack and Kiko would excel!

The dolphins would be putting him in position where his coverage skills can be highlighted. This entire off season the Phins have looked at backers who can cover, not TFL backers.
