I believe i said his last name right

option for the "U"?

Maybe as a position coach. But there's 20+ guys that would get the HC gig before he does.

I heard this was coming last week. No surprise, they had a horrible season.

Wow, they did have a bad year. But that bad? I always thought he did wonders for NCState. They were nothing before him...

UM could definitely do worse.

not to mention hes a NC State Alumni. i expected them to give him a season to turn it around.

i wouldnt mind having him back on the FSU defense. but im sure he can get a better job somewhere else.

they've been in Free fall ever since Phillip Rivers' senior year. (When they started the season top 10, and were picked to win the National Championship).

They haven't had great recruiting classes, but they always have more talent than their record shows.

Now NC State will never beat FSU again
Amatto owned FSU, but that's about all.

Was he the OC at FSU before taking the NCS job?
I wonder how the blood is between he and Bobby B? The timing does seem to favor FSU.

EDIT: Never mind. That was Richt. Amato was a defensive position coach and an assistant head coach or something like that.

they finished 7-5 last year

your probably right though. i just hate to see him go out like that, him being from there.

point being, less than 5 years ago, people thought they'd be an elite team, but they've fallen to mediocrity.

It's not like they've got bad teams. In the last couple years they've had Koren Robinson,Phillip Rivers,Mario Williams,Manny Lawson, and John McCargo get drafted in the first round, and will probably have Tank Thomas (?) also get drafted in the first. So the talent is there.

But Amato was dead as soon as he lost to Akron
