I've always been a Mark Martin fan since I was a little kid. I went to Homestead a long time ago and met Mark, been rootin for him since. I haven't watched a race in maybe 8-10 years, so I'm unfamiliar with the Cup process.

Next week at Homestead Jimmy Johnson only needs a top 25 finish to win. So here's my point.

What if someone puts the hit on Jimmy, and causes a silly wreck, but maybe early enough, or late enough to put him out of the running with a 33rd or more finish. Does that stuff happen? I'm sure alot of the racers would love to see Martin get one championship, but he wouldn't be getting it earnestly. Would racers support a Martin Conspiracy?

Honestly I hope Jimmy ruins his car on his own errors, but I'm just wondering if this situation is realistically possible, obviously anything can happen. But since I'm not in tune with the league anymore, I don't know the pulse of the racers, teams, and fans.

I rooting hard for Mark Martin. I'm a big NASCAR fan. I've been watching it since I was a kid and Mark Martin is a lot like Brett Favre in my opinion. He's all class and loves what he does. He deserves to win more than anyone. But what Jimmie Johnson is doing is monumental. I highly doubt anyone puts the hit on Jimmie Johnson. It's tough to intentionally wreck someone and make it look like an accident. I think other drivers would just kind of lower their heads if something like that happened and give politically correct responses to media when asked about it. "Well you know, these things happen in racing. Tough break for Jimmie. I'm really happy for Mark. He's been around this sport a long time and it's good to see him finally get to where he has worked so hard for so long for this."
