how bad was Nathan Jones yesterday on those 2 blitzes..

why the hell did he STOP twice??na
 
He got shook once, and the other he just had a hard time bringing Roffleburger down.
 
He has done well in the past blitzing...not so much yesterday, but he has played better than most this year, so I am not going to start knocking him...
 
ROFLberger does that to everyone.

Especially DB's.
 
Can you blame him..

You all know that your not allowed to tackle a Qb anymore
 
Nate Jones has always been solid off the blitz, yesterday Ben was better.

I'm more concerned with him in coverage than on the blitz. He got lit up on the slot WR a bit this year . . . but didn't all of our CB's get touched up this year.
 
The first one was bad as reacted to the back looking like he might make the block so he stopped in his tracks. It made it worse because after that Ben picked up enough yards on that play for Pitt to go for it 4th down, and two plays after Nate looked bad, Ben rammed a 50 yard TD to Wallace down our throats.

Nate did have a good year though, and was mostly impressed with his performance this season, and look for him to get even better next season. Hopefully we get a safety that can help these young corners.
 
Looked to me like Jones went out Saturday night and got good and drunk, and then played like it on Sunday.... not one of his best games.

the first blitz was iffy. the second one is a 180 lb CB trying to bring down a 240+ lbs QB. Randy Starks had to use second effort to bring Roethlisberger down. he's just that big and strong.
