Should Florida win a mistake filled lackluster game against "the" Ohio State does BSU deserve maybe a split national championship? Interested in knowledgeable BCS experts view if we have a chance.

no expert..no you don't deserve it... THAT being said, I LOVED what you did to the okies... and I wish there was a plus one that would give you your shot

Ohio State win no matter what would equal a Buckeye National Championship. Great game and playcalling against Oklahoma though  Loved it!!

No they dont. This is the Championship Game, if Florida wins the Championship game they are the champions. Whether they win by 1 point or 30

No.

The last time the controversy happened, it was because the AP poll voted (I don't remember what school) number 1 ahead of the NC winner. But in the case of this NC Florida was number 2 in the AP poll as well as every other poll. So obviously everyone believes they should be there, and if they win there won't be a controversey.

What should come from BSU's victory is proof that a playoff is needed.

It was in 2004. LSU won the BCS, then the AP went around thier back, voted USC ahead in the polls. So it was a split NC. Something that the BCS was supposed to stop.

Regrettably, Boise has no real shot this year. It might help to think about the National Championship in stages. A few years ago, Boise State would never have even made a BCS game. Now, I think they have opened the door a little wider for themselves and other smaller schools, and it will make the selection for the next BCS game that much easier. Boise State accomplished a lot this year, and I really don't think they could beat the Nuts anyway, so finishing the season undefeated is a good place to stop this year.

I know, I know, it still would be nice to have a shot.

Re: Florida, I still think Ohio State will get votes in the A.P. even if they lose. Florida would probably still win, but with a loss already, they would not be the clear champion. By rights, the Nuts should be that right now.

the set up for the NC game is that the two teams are the only two teams left that can win the NC period. so no matter what happened to get them in the game or what happens in the game, the winner is the National Champs...end of story.

Well, technically it is still possible - although extremely unlikely. Since the AP removed themselves from the BCS, they can crown whomever they wish. The USA Today/coach's poll however, is required to crown the winner of the BCS National Championship Game as the National Champion.

... I wouldn't hold your breath.

Boise should be in top 5, But thats as far as it goes. They just did not have a schedule like other big teams

how about if the gators win by a blow out!!!! Yeah thats right the gators are national champs.
