Well now that the lottory is done, let's try a mock.

1.Portland Trailblazers Greg Oden C, Ohio State Boy the Blazers future just got even better. The one thing they lacked last year was a true low post threat. Randolph is a great scorer, but does not play back to the basket. I will go out on a limb and say the Blazers will win an NBA title in 5 years.

2.Seattle Sonics Kevin Durant F, Texas The new owner gets to make a splash by getting the most versitle player in the draft. Reshard Lewis is probably leaving, but Durant could be better.

3. Atlanta Hawks Brandon Wright PF, North Carolina is Wright a need? no, but he is the BPA. If he was in any other class, Wright would be the number one prospect. He is extremely raw, but he adds some low post skills to the Hawks

4. Memphis Grizzlies Roy Hibbert C, Georgetown Boy this has to suck. The Grizz had the best chance at getting Oden or Durant and they got neither. Luckily, they've got some nice young players already. Might as well get the next best C in the draft in Hibbert since that's your biggest weakness.

5.Boston Celtics Yi Jianlian C, China This has to suck even worse. The Celts needed a franchise player, and they lost out. I'm already hearing rumblings that Danny Ainge loves this guy. He's a project, but he could be solid.

6. Milwaukee Bucks Al Horford PF, Florida The Bucks really need somone to help Bogut down low. Horford is the perfect compliment to Bogut's passing game.

7. Minnesotta Timberwolves Corey Brewer SF, Florida The backcourt is set with Randy Foye and Rashad McCants, but they need a young 3 that can defend. Brewer will be an All-Defensive performer very quickly in his career.

8. Charlotte Bobcats Julian Wright SF/PF, Kansas Would go big man, but they're pretty crowded there. Need an more athleticism

9. Chicago Bulls Spencer Hawes C, Washington A pretty damn good center in his own right, and is a good scorer. A lot like a young Brad Miller.

10.Sacramento Kings Joakim Noah PF/C, Florida SacTown's big men do not provide enerygy, nor are their games well rounded, Noah's game is perfect for the team.

11. Atlanta Hawks Mike Conley Jr. PG, Ohio State Like most PGs, Conley can go anywhere from top 3, to mid first, but Atlanta needs a PG in the worst way.

12. Philadelphia 76ers Jeff Green SF/PF, Georgetown A very versitle player that can defend 4 positions, instantly upgrades PHilly's D.

13. New Orleans Hornets Rudy Fernandez SG, Spain NO needs a SG to pair with Chris Paul, Fernandez is one of the best in the world.

14. LA Clippers Acie Law PG, Texas A&M With Cassell's age, and Livingston's knee injury, the Clips need to get a good leader at the PG position

15. Detroit Pistons (from Magic) Javaris Crittenton PG, Georgia Tech Critt will rise due to his height, and skill set. Detroit needs to prepare in case Billups bolts, and even if he doesn't, he's not getting any younger.

16. Washington Wizards Al Thorton SF/PF, Florida State BPA and athletic freak. Watch out for him if you don't know him.

17. New Jersey Nets Tiago Splitter PF/C, Spain Has been a top prospect for years, but couldn't get out of his Euro contract. Will instantly help on offense

18. Golden State Warriors Josh McRoberts PF, Duke Perfect fit for the run and gun system in the Bay. McRoberts' passing ability will make him indespensible to the Warriors.

19. LA Lakers Nick Young SG/SF, USC Get another wing player to help Kobe and Odom.

20. Miami Heat Brandon Rush SG/SF, Kansas The Heat have been in love with him since March, and could use his intangibles.

21. Philly 76ers (from Nuggets) Rodney Stuckey PG/SG, Eastern Washington Combo guard that can score, will be a steal.

22. Charlotte Bobcats (from Raptors) Ante Tomic C, Croatia May and Okafor are PFs, so Brecez needs a back up

23. New York Knicks (from Bulls) Thaddeus Young SF, Georgia Tech Best case scenario: Teyshaun Prince with offense. Worst Case Scenario: Chris Jeffries without the contract.

24. Phoenix Suns (from Cavs) Marco Belinelli SG, Italy The Suns have scouted him since D'Antoni has become coach, they won't pass on him.

25. Utah Jazz Aaron Gray C, Pittsburgh Add a true low post C to back up Okur's outside game.

26.Houston Rockets Gabe Pruit PG, USC When your starting PG is Rafer Alston, you have problems

27. Detroit Pistons Alando Tucker SG/SF, Wisconsin A decent mid range jumper with a defensive mind; the perfect Piston

28.San Antonio Spurs Derrick Byars SG, Vanderbilt The Spurs need to add youth to their wing players. Byars is a good defender with a great shot.

29. Phoenix Suns Jared Dudley SF/PF, Boston College Tough minded player, versitile, and good defender. Phoenix needs him.

30. Philly 76ers (from Mavs) Jason Smith PF/C, Colorado State Smith could go late lotto, or fall this far. Watch out for his name.

i like the heat pick...especially if we lose kapono and/or posey...would love for acie law to drop though

Very nice. That's a pretty well-put-together draft. I could see the Pistons going with a Crittendon/Tucker combo.

Two nits to pick:
1. I would be stunned if the Jazz passed on a real shooting guard so they could take Aaron Gray. They're already way deep at the power positions (Boozer, Okur, Kirilenko, Collins and Millsap), and I'm not sure how sold people are on Gray's athleticism (or, more accurately, lack thereof).

2. I'd be very surprised if Conley went 11th with so many teams in need of a point guard.

The Knicks should trade up for Noah and Brewer. What they could give? I have no idea so I wont speculate but Brewer would be ideal as a perimeter defender/athletic swingman and noah would fit as a shot blocking big man.

Well, two problems there:
1. the Knicks have very little that anyone wants.

2. Renaldo Balkman is already a fine fit for the role you want to put Brewer into.

What the Knicks need, first and foremost, is a pass-first point guard. At present, they have the shoot-first Stephon Marbury, the shoot-first Steve Francis, and the shoot-first, shoot-second, shoot-some-more-and-maybe-if-I'm-triple-covered-chuck-a-halfhearted-pass Nate Robinson.

Second, they need a shooting guard that can actually shoot. Q Richardson and Jamal Crawford both have accuracy issues. (As do Marbury and Francis.)

Third, they need a set rotation: too many guys are getting minutes at random. Shorten the damn bench, Zeke! They should be playing Curry, Frye and Lee at the two power spots, and no one else, with Balkman at the 3 and Richardson backing him up and playing the two when they want to go big. (I don't care for Richardson, but the alternative, Jared Jefferies, is worse.) And then, somehow, straighten out the backcourt.

Start by trading Jamal Crawford, who is one of the few Knicks who actually has value. Personally, I think Crawford is horribly overrated, but he is a good player, and his contract isn't too bad. Crawford plus the #23 might be enough to get Corey Maggette, who seemed to be somewhat out of favor in LA last year.

Then, start buying out players in earnest. Malik Rose, Jerome James and Steve Francis are three guys who absolutely will not help this team now or ever. Get them off the roster and let kids like Mardy Collins and Randolph Morris work for playing time. All having them around is going to accomplish is make Isiah's decisions on playing time harder.

I do think they need a shot-blocking big man, but the Knicks are in pretty good shape at the power spots. It's the backcourt where they have problems.

I like the Brewer pick though if Wright and Conley are available I see them taking one them instead.

Well now that the lottory is done, let's try a mock.

Here are my Sixer's picks, at #12, #21, and #30. Hawes, Stuckey and Almond...I do like Jason Smith if we can't get Hawes at #12. :)

12 . Philadelphia 76ers, Spencer Hawes C, Washington A pretty damn good center in his own right, and is a good scorer. A lot like a young Brad Miller.

21. Stuckey....agree with your pick.

30. Morris Almond, Guard, Rice University....2nd option:

Philly 76ers (from Mavs) Jason Smith PF/C, Colorado State Smith could go late lotto, or fall this far. Watch out for his name.

:)

1. I think youre underestimating what the Kncks have. They have as much depth 1-15 of any team in the league, not in terms of talent but that everyone on their roster belongs on an NBA roster. There's talent there but their rotation needs to be shortened from 12 on any given night to like 8/9.

2. Balkman is a very good young player. But he is strictly a defender and open court player. He struggles mightly in the half court set because he doesnt have a jumper making him a liability on offense. Brewer is Balkman with offense. And in spite of how good Balkman is on D, and hes certainly good, and how hard Marbury really tried to play D last year (mostly on one leg) and actually succeeded, The Knicks still had one of the worst perimeter defenses in the league as teams routinely killed them from 3.

3. If you thought Marbury was shoot first last season you didnt watch a single NYK game after about 30 games in. He struggled with it but he mostly deferred to crawford and curry. It was only after Craw, Q, and Lee all got hurt he had to really take over because he was playing with Mardy Collins (aka the next Eric Snow) as his backcourt mate.

4. As stated I agree on shortening the rotation. One quick point though; Lee is a tweener 3-4. hes ideal to guard bigger, slower sf's/smaller PF's. The nice part about Lee is that he make you match up to him as well though. Q and Jefferies are both awful on offense.

5. I think Crawford is terribly underrated. His stats are skewed by what he did as a bench player which he is clearly not. His FG% went from 37 to 43% when starting. His PPG, rebs, steals went up per minute while his TO/minute went down. All in all his PER is higher as a starter. I would take him in less then a heartbeat over a black hole, turnover machine like Maggette.

6. The buyouts have stopped. Dolan isnt allowing anymore. Further, he shouldnt. Francis still can play and has some value. If they can get anything at all back for him they should do it or hold him. Rose has value with leadership and has only 1 year left on his expiring contract anyway. James is a tubby bum at times, i agree but hes kinda an ideal back up C, because when he chooses to play hes actually not bad. he just doesnt to choose to play enough.

The moves I would make if its not Brewer and Noah?

I think something like Francis, Frye, Rose for Rashard Lewis (sign and trade) makes sense. Would upgrade the sonics backcourt as they benched ridnour a few times this season and my guess is hes gone. They need more scoring anyway if shard wants out or they dont want to committ the money to shard long term. Plus they need to get more talent on the frontline and as much as I cant stand frye hes not without talent which means theyd get a decent backcourt option to pair with Ray Allen, and a jump shooting big man to open up the low box if they actually get a decent C, and Rose's expiring deal. Wouldnt be a bad haul for an expiring deal. We get a guy who is still young, an athletic wing like Thomas likes but who also play outside. Additionally Shard can play PF or SF, especially in the east without so many great big men allowing us to alternate him, Lee and Balkman at the 3/4 based on matchups.

Then I'd move Curry, our 1st, and Robinson for either J O Neal or Gasol and whatever cap fillers are needed to work on either side. It would give us a better interior big man defensively with comprarable offensive stats. Id like to point out that my preference here is clearly Gasol as he is younger and less injured it seems but beggers cant be choosers and Id have no qualms taking O Neal whom Thomas coached in Indy. Furthermore, both those guys hover around 2 BPG and we were dead last in the league there. this would vault us in to the middle of the pack alone, and if coupled with the move above with shard at 1BPG, we'd instantly become a much tougher team on the interior because NBA players just hate getting their shot blocked....

How feasible the moves are would be based on the gm's but cap wise they arent far off and value wise they arent far off.

After this everything else we'd need to address is minor....
