Also, NBC is going big time after the MLB package FOX currently holds. I guess FOX is feeling the heat and is nervouse because NBC is coming real strong with a big offer to steal it away.

NBC would be nuts to go after this albatross. Airing the playoffs in prime time just about ruins the ability of Fox to successfully launch new shows in the fall.

Unless its Yankees-Red Sox.......the games draw no ratings at all.

There are only 2 sports on TV that are worth buying (NFL and NCAA TOURNAMENT). Everything else, whether its the masters, nba, mlb, world cup, tennis...etc, you will lose money!!!! And even ABC lost money with the NFL but they are morons over there so that is a bad judge or example.

Baseball needs to rethink the entirety of the playoffs. It's not their huge draw -- their huge draw comes from those 81 home games a year and regional sports nets. I'd love to see the playoff games go back to mostly daytime for the kids.

Not starting the games at 8:20 would be a good start.

I can understand late games if a west coast team is involved, but such late starts for Red Sox-Yankees or Red Sox-Cards is crazy.

I don't hate FOX but I grew up w/ MLB on NBC and I'd love for it to go back. They should do it like they did in the mid-late 90s where both FOX & NBC have rights and alternate LCS and WS.

Anything that gets Bob Costas back broadcasting baseball is a good thing. Joe Buck wishes he could be half the announcer Costas is, and I like Buck.

I can't agree with you more. The times make no sense at all. MLB and FOX try to market towards kids yet they make the times of the games so the kids can only see the first 2 or 3 innings before they have to go to sleep. It's stupid.

Also I'd love to get new people in the boardcasting booth. Buck and McCarver make me wish I were deaf sometimes. They're awful. McCarver ALWAYS has to mention the same Yaz/1975 WS story every Red Sox game yet he can't remember that it's Bronson Arroyo not Brendan Arroyo. Also both are clearly biased and you can tell which team they want to win during the game.
