DAVIE, Fla. – Saturday was a very rough day for Miami Dolphins guard Billy Turner.

The second-year lineman, who is competing for a starting job, had the unenviable task of blocking Pro Bowl defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh in Miami’s first practice in full pads. Suh turned up the intensity and Turner, to put it nicely, couldn’t offer much resistance.
Suh wreaked havoc in the team and one-on-one drills for the Dolphins. He pushed the pocket, pressured the quarterback and set the table for Miami’s defense to clearly win the day vs. the offense.

Oh man, i cannot wait to see him play for us on sundays.

we were 8-8 last season and i truly think his impact alone wins a few more games.

This is the year.

This is about the best measuring stick you can get for a young OG. If any of them can moderately hold their own vs Suh by the season our OL will be fine.

Absolutely, and if he continues to do what he did today for the next two or three weeks, than the possibility of signing mathis goes up a little. Mathis is waiting for things like injuries to occur, or situations like this. The jets and bills d line's are among the best, if these guys cant compete against suh, i doubt they hold up well the DT in our division. Let alone the rest of the nfl.

I know things fell apart at the end last year, but despite having a crappy O-Line, we finished 8-8. If our defense plays to its potential, that will win more than 8.

Go dolphins, im rooting for our current guards to pull through.

we have a top notch OL coach and Suh schooling these guys. if Turner is mentally tough, I think this will be great for him

Here's my thought...Place an orange cone in the backfield. Bring Mathis in for a tryout and tell him if he can keep Suh from touching that cone for 30 seconds we will pay him what he wants. If not, roll with Jamil Douglas. :d-day:

I'm not buying the thinking if our O-line play to a draw vs Suh
then the O-line has improved.A great D-lineman should only dominated
30 Percent of his one on one not 100 percent ....

Suh will dominate. He dominated the Cowboys Oline in the playoffs.

Nobody can do that!

It's so damn funny that as soon as pads go on Suh immediately eats everyone's lunch. We've got an all-timer.

I would put Suh on the shelf until regular season. No reason risking him risk injury against Dallas Thomas.l

If Mathis can keep a clean pocket vs Suh for 30 seconds he will be the greatest offensive lineman to ever walk the earth.

On a more realistic note, I'd pay him top dollar if he could manage to hold a clean block vs Suh for a mere 4-5 seconds and would sign him to a fair deal if he could do that for 2-3 seconds, 2 maybe 3 out of 5 chances.

I doubt Mathis could do any better than what we have. Suh is just that good.

So....after one day Suh looks like the best DT in the NFL...pretty much what Ross paid for. Good for us...bad for Brady...

I do hope Suh hates Brady as much as he did Cutler
