Need A New Fight Song N Not Buffet!

Ok, came across this article today. Now, let me first say that i love how we play the song after every TD and it really brings the crowd together. BUT the song is kinda dated. And its a little annoying hearing my fellow jerseyans or the m*******s mocking us b/c of the "honky tonk" vibe.

Buffet named the stadium and its cool he has some sorta song BUT.... again its so country-like. Now i know FL is in the south yadda yadda....but Miami isnt really a "country" area. actually all of south florida isnt. Plus his song isnt catchy and is too long...

MY POINT -

Apparently some local family made a song about the dolphins and it won in a few publix contests etc. Personally, im not a HUGE fan of this genre but its so much more modern and hard then the old one. Still very catchy too.

I say we use the new song to go with the new future and the end of the 20th century...Scroll to bottom of page and click play...read article if u like ... What do u guys think???

Who cares? It's just a damn song.

All I care about are scoring enough TDs to hear it.
 
How did they ever score points before theme songs?

Sorry but that might be the worst song i've ever heard. Let me know when a quality rock/metal band writes a Dolphins song. Until then I could really care less about theme song.

Leave that cesspool of a state and move to South Florida, problem solved.

The more it bothers Jet, Patriot, and Bills fans, the more I love it.

You are not in the minority. The current one should continue to remain. Yes, it may be a little corny, but it is well known and a classic.

The Jimmy Buffet song is not a replacement, but just another song they will play around the stadium. The fight song is remaining.

This rap one in the article above is pretty bad. Not a fan of it at all.
 
Fight songs are sort of 1950s in feel anyway.....Come on..."Bear Down, Chicago Bears".....Seriously? That's good?

Or "San Diego Superchargers?" with that crappy early 70s disco trash Village People Vibe? Actually, fight songs are supposed to be corny. It's sort of what they do.
 
Fight songs should be reserved for college football. These songs have no real purpose in the pros anymore.

Except 'Fly Eagles Fly'.

:lol: My wife loves College fight songs. You're right. They belong right there. I'd rather sort of see pyro or something. There is a reason the background music of NCAA Football is cool college fight songs, and, Madden, it's whoever paid the most to get on the game...lol.

I love Tennessee's "Rocky Top."
In my opinion..best fight song.

Well that or if we include soccer...West Ham United's "Bubbles"



I also hate the Eagles fight song. But I also hate the eagles after dealing with their fans during college.

Rocky Top is ok..But, for my money, Michigan has THE best fight song. It's really not even close. I do like Notre Dame's too, but, ironicly? I hate both teams!
