I just had to do a system recovery and I am being asked a question I don't know how to answer. I am trying to reset my mail...bellsouth is my isp and my "dot net" in my e-mail

they want to know what;

Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP,or HTTP) server _________

and then this;

An SMTP is the server that is used for your outgoing e-mail

Outgoing mail (SMTP) server ___________

can you help me discover what I should put in the boxes?

thanks

System restore actually is the BEST thing for viruses. Think of it this way. If you got a virus on Monday and you figured out you had a virus on Saturday that is 6 days that your PC stored the virus. The problem is it is very difficult to figure out when exactly you got the virus.

I sell ppl virus programs, but generally what I tell all my customers is to always backup their data files. I usually end up reformating PC's to get rid of most viruses. It easier to do that than trying to totally remove most viruses from your PC.

If you have viruses in your data files that is far easier to clean than an entire PC.

I guess what I'm trying to tell you is you should think about doing a fresh install of your OS.
