Comin down in November (the 16th to be exact) to see the Dolphins/Raiders game. I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for me about hotels, places to eat, hot spots, etc. things like that. I've only been to Miami once before but i was like 12 at the time. So I'm sure much is changed in 13 years. Anyway, we're flying in to Ft. Lauderdale on Friday (cheaper) and we'll be leavin on Monday afternoon. Any help or any suggestions would be great.

Try this...I am going this weekend to the Chargers game and this is where I am staying....They have shuttle service to the game for $20 I believe. Also Shula's restaurant is here...Great steaks..I haven't been to Miami since the Ravens beat us in the playoffs in 2000 I think it was but I'm hoping we do better this Sunday. Hope this helps if no one else who lives down there helps you!

im going to the same game, arriving and leaving at the same times in the same airport

Every time im in FL (2-3 times a year), i always hit Tootsies. Very good strip joint.

Gotta hit Joes Crab Shack.....its awesome!! Also, a walk in South Beach for some eye candy, is a must!!

Haha, I've been there! My sister's fiance took me there when I went to go visit her in pompano beach. Really cool place, though the booze is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive.

As for food in the Miami area, You can't go wrong with Flanigan's, which is seafood.
Some good southern BBQ is a place called Shorty's. Its been there forever. Good food and a great price. There's a flanigan's in both south and north miami.

If you want to get away from the booze or if you are with any young kids the parrot jungle is a cool place to check out. its over by Government Cut (the place where the cruise ships launch)

Miami is about 35 minutes away from FLL but if you are around the area those are definitely some good places to check out.

We will be there Sat after the Canes/Noles game!!!!

If you haven't brought the tickets then try ebay. I bought two tickets to the texans and fins for about $50. It's a sweet deal.

i also stay at don shulas hotel its like a 10 minute or less drive on gameday.. real easy to get there also.. its one of the closest hotels and is fairly priced.. theirs a tony romas and a couple other restraunts close by actually walking distance. south beach takes about 15-20 minutes to get there and not to bad to find either

I'm trying to get down there too for that game. I usually fly into Ft Laud and stay at a Comfort Inn. I rent a car and drive to the stadium on game day.
