RENO, Nev. -- A northern Nevada prep football player who had claimed he was duped into believing he was recruited to play at a Pac-10 school admitted Wednesday he made up the story.
Kevin Hart, a 6-foot-5, 290-pound offensive lineman for Fernley High School, offered a broad apology in a statement he issued through the Lyon County School District. Hart said he had wanted to play football at a Division I school "more than anything."
"When I realized that wasn't going to happen, I made up what I wanted to be reality. I am sorry for disappointing and embarrassing my family, coaches, Fernley High School, the involved universities and reporters covering the story," Hart said.

Yeah I read this story awhile back before they knew he did it. That guy has serious issues
 
i ponder what he thought was gonna happen when Cal heard this, and were like Who are you???? what was he thinking... how stupid.... what a jerk. he messed with soooo many people, and embarassed himself horribly, and family too.

maybe he should of worked his booty off a little more throughout his high school tenure.
 
I feel bad for him. The kid got no scholarships so he does this stunt to generate some type of publicity so someone will notice him.

IF I was him id be spending time in the gym and calling nearby d2 schools. He certainly has the size to play.
 
I feel bad for him also. He's clearly got some issues he needs to deal with. Hopefully this will lead his family to getting him some kind of help.
 
Issues? All he is, is a deceiving SOB. No issues, no need to get help. The only help he needs is an ASSWHOOPIN for being a dumb ***.

He is a big guy i played against him this year I am a DT for My HS in Nevada
