Here is the latest depth chart and there are a couple of interesting spots. One is DT - there has been talk about Wright being given a spot because he will cost a 5th but he is listed 4th at DT and really 7th or 8th overall. That won't cut it. I know things will change with 2 weeks left but IMO he will be cut for practice squad. I don't see another team picking him up because it would cost them a roster spot for a guy who won't play all year.
Welker is listed ahead of Davis, Newson, and Mann. That surprises me but I guess they really like his possession ability.
I thought Middleton would at least be a backup at guard but he is listed behind Whitley and St. Clair. How can Whitley make the team? I don't see it.
Lastly, seeing Holliday at DT is weird becasue he is too small IMO to play DT unless it's passing downs.

Wright will not be cut.. he is for the future

He will be like Whitney his first year. Likely will not see a lot of action until he improves in practice.

Is that official?? I haven't seen it on the Dolphins site, it sounds like a guess-timate by phins.com

Also Welker is great, you get the ball near him and he'll make the catch... give him some room and watch out, with is elusiveness and vision he'll make some nice YAC.

I don't think Wright will be put on the practice squad. As someone in another thread said, if he is put on the PS he will be available for other teams to sign him. I think Saban invested a pick in him hoping to keep him and develop him into a good player.

Ronnie Brown is already on the 2nd team?? I dont think thats right

Not too shabby, it will take awhile to get build the line up but it is a hell of an improvement over lastyear in a relatively short time.

I sure as hell hope he is nothing like Whitney. That's a pretty bad comparison. Maybe more like Carey, who sat out most of the year and now looks like the real deal.

TE81 Randy McMichael47 Lorenzo Diamond85 Donald Lee48 Alex Holmes
41 Jason Rader
I like Lee being moved back...Diamond has looked good...

was Eddie Moore cut? He isnt even on there.

Whos the better blocker out of Diamond and Lee?
question is who is a better catcher/non-fumbler. WE used to have a guy named Hunter goodwin, he could block all day long, but couldn't catch a pass, I'd rather keep the guy who excels at two things and can learn a third, vs a guy who can do one thing and doesn't have the talent to do the other two.

No direct comparison meant there; they play different positions

I was more so comparing the way they were going to be brought along. Whitney struggled with the system early and they kept him on until they thought he would be ready, which never happened.
