Because he made a 48-yard field goal to win Super Bowl XXXVI and a 41-yard field goal to win Super Bowl XXXVIII.

Indeed, how about adding "the team" to the poll. Though Bill is easily the biggest part of it and to say otherwise is ridiculous. Even without Charlie and Romeo he did one of the top coaching jobs, managing the team without an offensive coordinator.

Tom Brady is a great QB but he didnt win those superbowls, they wouldnt have even been in the game vs Philli without the defense, and would have lost 2 without Adam

I didnt say he singlehandedly won the Superbowl, no player can do that. But to compare the importance to a team of a premium QB or defensive unit to a kicker is like asking if Olindo Mare is more important to Miami's success than Ronnie Brown.
