New FA that could be had

Lelei flat out isnt very good.....he's fast but thats pretty much it. Inconsistant isnt a good word for any position in the NFL, and especially at WR.

Yeah, Lelie isn't good at all. We're talking about a guy who didn't want to compete/take the challenge, to beat an old Rod Smith for the #1 receiver role. :shakeno: He doesn't demand the ball, and his hands are just as bad as Chambers, then again any receiver that plays for Michael Vick has looked terrible.

yeah, we should definitely add another inconsistent wr, we don't have enough already.

Good for him he needed to get out of the Wide Receiver Graveyard in Atlanta. Hes a good player and probably a good option as a #2 Wideout. Hes got speed to compliment Chambers.

we don't want any WRs from last year's Atlanta team, they all drop the ball alot

Comment:
Lelie is big, fast and very athletic. He is a dangerous vertical threat who has outstanding straight-line speed and acceleration. He can stretch the deep seams. He has the short-area quickness to avoid the jam and close hard on cornerbacks playing off coverage. He has some downfield-setup ability and savvy in his route running. He tracks the deep ball well. He has improved his intermediate route running, has good hips in his cuts and shows good acceleration out of his breaks. He has soft hands and awareness, balance and body control. He can make the tough sideline catch. He is fast and explosive after the catch. He is willing to cut off and get position as a blocker. But Lelie isn't physical and is too inconsistent. He lacks ideal strength. His toughness and competitiveness are questionable. He doesn't make enough plays in the passing game. His hands are inconsistent. He doesn't have great run instincts and isn't powerful in space.

I live in Atlanta, so I got to see a lot of him, and he's garbage. He's fast, but he drops a lot of balls.--No thanks.

I'd also like a Ginn and tonic.:drinker:

That was great! Isn't there a worry about his size though. We are drafting very high and if he turns out to be just a return guy that would be a waste. Nowadays it seems the WR's are going 6' 2" minimum. Look at Jax - their avg height is probably 6' 4". It would be ideal to get a burner that has size too. Especially picking at #9.
