New Monday Night Football crew nnounced

I don't know about this line up. I thought Al Michaels was going to return. Mike Wilbon!?!? I like the guy on PTI because he rants and argues but I don't know if I can stand his voice as a commentator.

MNF Crew Announced

Edit: I meant Tony Kornheiser of course.

Woops! Looks like MikeO beat me by 3 minutes.

I posted a thread about this almost simultaniously as well. But I thought the article stated that Al Michaels would not return at all.

Al Michaels, the play-by-play voice of Monday Night Football on ABC from 1986 through Sunday's Super Bowl in Detroit, will not return to either broadcast.

Wilbon didn't get the job !:shakeno: :shakeno: :shakeno: :shakeno: :shakeno: :shakeno: :shakeno:

Yet another WOOPS! I meant Tony Kornheiser of course.

Kornheiser is the only one of the three that gets me excited at all. Tirico is a very pedestrian play-by-play guy, and Theismann, well ... he's no "Norman Einstein."

That article stated that he won't return to EITHER broadcast. :shakeno: :shakeno: :shakeno: Which other broadcast would constitute the "either" portion?:shakeno: :shakeno: :shakeno:

It appears Michaels WILL broadcast on the NBC game with Madden.

Former quarterback Joe Theismann, Washington Post columnist Tony Kornheiser and Mike Tirico will be the broadcast crew for “Monday Night Football” next season as the long-running show shifts to ESPN from ABC.

The moves leave Al Michaels free to switch to NBC, which takes over Sunday night games next season from ESPN. John Madden, Michaels’ broadcast partner for the last four seasons, agreed in June to a six-year contract with NBC.

Great. I can't stand Kornholer

Actually, I like Kornheiser, even when I disagree with him. It's sort of the opposite of LeBatard, whom I can't stand even when I do agree with him.

If he takes it seriously it might be okay.
