Gholston is gathering momentum and is one of the players who has great skill, strength and potential to develop. I think Chris Long is still a strong candidate for this spot but Gholston is a rare athlete and his 30.5 tackles for loss and 22.5 sacks in the last two years may be the tip of the iceberg.

Jake Long is the guy I see MIA has finally zeroed in on. But should they recieve a "1st round pick" for Jason Taylor....then maybe I can see a Vernon Ghoulston pick, but even still, I would see Jake Long at #1 and maybe a Quentin Groves with the JT pick...unless they select Ghoulston at #1 and feel that a Chris Williams is a franchise type LT and would still be available at the JT pick.
But I dont see JT being traded, so Jake Long makes the most sense right now.

I'm torn on this one. I Gholston has more potential but I confident Chris Long is going to give you his all everydown.
All things being equal. I lean towards Gholston!

I wouldn't mind Groves at ALL if we chose Jake Long #1. That being said, I don't see it. Gholston or Chris Long will be our guy.

i don even have him as the best OLB/DE in the draft. Chris Long will be the pick if we go OLB/DE with the first pick

Gholston or C long either or for me. Both will be very good.

i dont think gholston has more potential. the only thing he did in college was dominate COLLEGE guys with his strength. he isnt gonna do that in the pros. I love gholston but not over chris long

Fairly soft schedule but here is his statline against VA tech

Just a small sampling of what he did versus pretty good opponents.
I like the fact that he sacks/tackles AND brks up passes!

who did ohio state play last year....youngstown, Akron, washington, northwestern, minnesota, kent st, wisconson, illinois, michigan, penn st, purdue and Michigan st.
wow a tough schedule...not. michigan is the only tough team and they lost to app st, oregon, wiscons and ohio st. a four loss team.
look at the years before...not very tough schedules either.
