Alright. I never start a new thread, but I normally troll a bit to see what other people have to say and I jump in when I feel something is said that I feel is wrong. I want to say now, that I have never been impressed with the depth of our team until now. The only thing I think we are lacking is QB depth and OL talent, but we are solid in every other position.

My opinions are as follows to those who care to read.

I know this is a pre season game and Matt Moore is a backup that was a backup for the panthers, but he looked so much more in tune with the offense than Henne. He has been with the team very little, but he seemed to be firing on all cylinders. He lead the offense, and seemed right at home. When he went back to throw I was excited. This is the opposite if how I feel when Henne drops back to pass deep.

Wilson looked solid like a back that has been to the pro bowl already and been in the pros for 5 or more years. This kid stays on the right track, he will be defensive rookie of the year. Yes, you heard it here first.

Nolan is a badass coach and will have us in the playoffs if our offense doesn't screw it up.

Our offense now attacks, and I am very happy we are no longer settling for three yards and a cloud of dust.

Our special teams needs work, and carpenter needs to get focused.

Our coaching staff and ireland have both done a good job with the short time they have had to prepare and prep the players.

Overall, I am excited to see the next game. IF and I do mean IF we continue to pickup players who perform like wilson did, we will have a lot of fun the next 5 years or so. We are finally starting to see the benefits of cleaning house and picking up speed and talent in all positions.

Thanks for reading and lets have a good year.

The depth seems excellent, but our 2nds and 3rds beat their 2nds and 3rds. Their 1st team smoked us.

He did not have that #1 Atlanta dline breathing down his neck. But for the short time he has been here, he played quite effectively.

I agree, but this is only the 1st preseason game. Hopefully he can play like that in the next 3 games and make the team.

Nolan makes mistakes too, but compared to Sparano, he is Lombardi.

We just need to get the oline in sync

I thought they played great for the first game, even scored the game clinching TD

The oline looks terrible, the rush defense looks god awful.

I agree. We needed to inject more speed and get rid of some of the marginal players that had no ceiling or were getting old.

Go Fins!!

I was also encouraged by the play calling, with the offense in attack mode. Henning would have NEVER done this. I hope this is a sign of things to come.

good thread, thanx.. just wish there were of em these days. :idk:

Atlanta’s starters absolutely shreded the Dolphins starters on Friday night.
At the end of the first quarter, the Falcons had a 17-0 lead. They picked up ten first downs to one for Miami. (On a Chad Henne run.) Atlanta gained 159 yards to 17 for the Dolphins.
Chad Henne threw five passes, completing one to a teammate, and two to the Falcons. (In fairness, a bad Anthony Fasano drop led to one of the interceptions.) He also took a couple of big shots.

Maybe if the above didn't reflect the true play.... there would be a more positive vibe.... and why is there a problem with the facts and the truth on this site....

It doesn't bother me that some on here tell me to be a Steelers fan or a Buffalo fan or any of their lame claims.... you see... I went to the OB... I saw when the Dolphins were meaningfull... won SB's... were feared.... the playoffs went through Miami.... EVERY year.... but let's face it.... with the exception of the entertaining years of Danny... the Dolphins have not been relevant... and then to not win at home... it's inexcusable... but reality doesn't play well here... a reasonable person would have to say there's no signs things are about to change....
