I'm not hating on Henne, even though he let us all down time and time again last season, but this is telling. I do believe alot of our offensive problems were the offensive scheme itself and I think (hope&pray) we will have better results this year. I like the new criteria and I mostly concur with the rankings. My favorite ranking, however, if you look at the "poor" section is the most overrated of all qbs. Brett "INT" Favre. Down where he belongs. I think Henne will end up in the "above average" rank after 2011-2012. And, I would like to officially welcome back #99. He better step up to make up for playing with the ****ing jets.

WTF, ill take Jay Cutler in a minute over Robot.

Below average: Shaun Hill, Jason Campbell, Jay Cutler, Matt Hasselbeck, Chad Henne, Donovan McNabb, Sam Bradford and Alex Smith.

Never understood why people need statistics to defend their failing eyeballs.

Chad Henne isn't getting it done. Let's get someone who can.

Looks like a good start to a new system.
I wish they could take into account things like when an interception is the WR's fault. Got to be frustrating for the WR to run the wrong route or tip the ball or juggle it so much that it goes right into the D's hands.

Would be funny to see a category for "Bonehead play call by coach"

J is right. If you watch the games and understand what is going on out there(which so few do either of those things) you dont need the stats. This new method for using the stats to create a rating pretty much puts the QBs right about where I wouldve ranked them without even seeing the stats. A few minor differences, but not much. I wouldve put Rivers in that top tier with those other guys and slid Vick down to the next level but, thats about it. Probably put Henne down there all the way at the bottom where he belongs.

I would have bet good money this post was coming.....but in fairness wait to see where Beck's name lands next year. =) haha

Below average: Shaun Hill, Jason Campbell, Jay Cutler, Matt Hasselbeck, Chad Henne, Donovan McNabb, Sam Bradford and Alex Smith.
Poor: Derek Anderson, Brett Favre and Jimmy Clausen.

Below Poor: John Beck

We can take every failed play and assign blame to any and everyone. A WR running the wrong route can still be the QB's fault if you want to split hairs. Maybe the QB called one play by the incorrect name. WR appears to run the wrong route when the QB throws his hands up like it's the receivers fault when in reality the QB threw it to the wrong spot thinking his guy would be there. Maybe the QB wasn't speaking clearly as his focus was on an expiring play clock as the huddle was broken. ANY failed play call can be the coach's fault. But if a play call goes for a score, we give all the credit in the world to the guy who carried the football over the goal line.

Too many people watching the football and not watching football IMO.

How about a "forced opposing head coach into blunder decision making due to fear of the other team's franchise quarterback" statistic....

But in the current way of keeping stats and ratings, everything gets put on the QB in the instances I mentioned. And that's as unfair as the situations you mentioned as well if they lumped it all on the WR instead. It happens all different ways, and there is no fail proof way to track and have it be fair and accurate, so almost why bother?
My post was more tongue and cheek any way.

Completely agree.

This is why I pretty much dismiss any and all statistics and just use m eyeballs as the true test. It's not hard. Stats lie. Chad Henne is a terrible QB.

Most fans use stats to evaluate players rather especially QB ratings for QB which, as we know, is asinine. I blame the fantasy football culture for this(though i love fantasy football).
