new stadium name

hey guys sorry if this was posted but i saw on twitter from phins insider that our stadium will now be called SUN LIFE STADIUM..sorry i cant get the link it was via i phone. but its a good source.

Sun Life Financial, a Canadian-based financial services company, is in serious discussions with the Dolphins about acquiring naming rights to Land Shark Stadium, two sources said Wednesday.
One source said talks are advanced and an announcement could come after the holidays, though both sources stopped short of calling it definite.

Joe Robbie Stadium would have been nice. I liked Dolphin and LandShark. Too bad we cant keep LandShark.

side note about corporate names for stadiums since I'm from DC:

The Redskins field was originally Jack Kent Cooke Stadium. It then became FedEx Field. When FedEx was bidding on it, one of the other companies was:

Pampers. "Tony **** leads the Cowboys this week to face the Redskins at Pampers Field." hahaha. true story

All of you guys that want to keep having it be Dolphin stadium should go ahead and better Sun Life's offer and make it so. Should only cost you a couple mil.

If you want to remain competetive, embrace the real, and the now, not the was.

It's a different game now, gents. Specially in an uncapped year, we gotta have cash. With revenue sharing perhaps going away, the NFL is going to become MLB soon. We gotta stay in the game.
