Well The Marlins will be getting their own stadium in the next couple of years. Are yall happy for em. What comes to mind for me is a game against NE when Olindo Mare had to kick in the baseball sand. He missed prob becuase of the sand and we ened up losing the game. What are the pros and cons to the Marlins new stadium?

I don't se any cons at all... Mare's percentage is actually like 20% less when hes kicking from the sand. I can't wait for them to leave.

i really just think a football stadium looks cheesey with the baseball diamond out there. Much less it is not a good surface for football. I think it is great the marlins are getting their own home too, instead of feeling like freeloaders.

Well, I'm sure Wayne would like to keep making money by having the Marlins play there but at the same time....
Did you know there are only two stadiums left that are both baseball and football? When I think of one of the proudest franchises in football, I don't want to think of them missing kicks (and subsequently losing games) because of the diamond's sand. I'm a Marlins fan and I wish they wouldn't have to go anywhere but I'm a Dolphins fan first and I think we benefit from not sharing the stadium anymore.

as far as i know they have yet to raise the money? Yes we all want them out... i just hadn't heard that they had finalized the money issue

con - they cant sell out a game if their existence depended on it

that is great news. i have hade to play on the same type of dirt, it sucks so i am sure the players will like it also

I hate the Marlins because of it. What are we like 1 of 2 teams that deals with that crap. I mean kicking on clay is like being on ice.

I've been a hardcore fan of the Marlins for longer than the Dolphins, although i certainly get more excited for Phins games now. Getting the new stadium will be cool for both the teams. I think that Dolphins Stadium is probably the nicest multi-sport stadium, because when used as a baseball stadium it doesn't have a cookie cutter, circular outfield. Getting a park that is a little more hitter friendly will help the Marlins, while the lack of infield dirt will help the Phins, so its a win-win situation. Plus new baseball stadiums have all been very neat and it would be great to see the Marlin's in a state-of the art facility.

Not really. We're .500 right now but we're a far better team that implies.
I don't care about any of that. They could be 72-10 right now I would still think the Marlins suck. And they will continue to suck until the day they get the hell out of Dolphins Stadium. And even after that they will still suck. :goof:

The first time I saw those ridiculous outfield walls I just shook my head in disbelief. JRS should not host basball. It deserves better than that.

I root against the Marlins just because Miami has to share the stadium with them..I hope that the marlins suck every year so we can get our football stadium back in time for the season..I hate not seeing our logos in the endzone until october its embarrassing..:yell:
