http://www.miamiherald.com/616/story/97810.html Among Dolphins subplots that bear watching: Can coach Cam Cameron, as offensive coordinator, maximize the skills of his skill-position players, including receiver Chris Chambers (off his most disappointing season) and tight end David Martin (transitioning from Packers backup to NFL starter)?

Thanks for the link. Maybe Cameron demanding a lot of his players will finally get some of these players to reach their full potential.

Chambers, 28, has noticed Cameron ''demands a lot of players'' and ''loves perfection.'' When Chambers ''missed a ball'' in warmups last month, Cameron told him: ''It's your last dropped ball'' of the minicamp.
Chambers said he missed another pass and spent the rest of that day's drills playing the slot, with Derek Hagan lining up in Chambers' customary position. ''He sent a little message to me,'' Chambers said. ``I liked that. It got me going.''

If im not mistaken, chambers best year of 2005, did he not play most of his snaps from the slot? In 06 , he did not, I heard Chambers prefered to be in the slot.
Course one thing, chambers got more double teams last year due to his 05 season, and now with Ginn in the lineup, this should help reduce some of those double teams

I think Chambers was moved around a lot in 2005, not just to the slot, to try to create matchup problems for defenses. Last year, the passing game was more about getting the ball out quickly and not attacking defenses which does not play to Chambers strengths as a WR.

Chambers also played his best in 2005 after Saban challenged him. I see Cameron and Robiskie is doing the same thing to him this year and hopefully the results will be another Pro Bowl type season.

i hope he can get it going
i under stand that ted might not ever be a number one widereciver (i hope he can be) but i am more than sure that he will open the field for chambers and ronnie and if daunte is healthy and we keep him chamber will finally have a QB he had his best season with GUS so i think a real QB will make his stats look alot better

Geforce, thanks for that quote. That totally explains why Chambers was bumped from the #1 spot. Remember the huge thread regarding that?

Yeah I remember that thread all to well.

I don't think he has really lost his #1 spot but the message has been sent. Play to the best of your abilities or you won't play at all. Chambers appears to be the type of player that needs to be pushed by his coaches and teammates to get the best out of him.
