One of the hot rumors on the profootballtalk.com Web site is that Eagles offensive coordinator Brad Childress and Tom Heckert vice president of player personnel, will be in Minnesota next season as the Vikings' head coach and general manager, respectively.

Hope that is true. Some people are being hard on Linehan right now, but once he actually gets good players, his play calling will be very exciting.

Nice post. Gus innacurate arm combined with dropped balls and costly penalties add up to an ugly offense. I do agree we need to run the ball more. I think the Defense giving up opening drive TDs has somthing to do with that though.

Very true. He has been calling the plays we wanted Wanny and his staff to do for years. We always wanted to go deep, and Linehan goes deep early and often. He just needs a QB that doesn't over or under throw his passes.

People are clubbing Linehan over the head for his play calling...I think it has been ok.

The guy is putting the players in position to make the plays....that is all he can do, he can't make the throw or the catch or the block for the players. Gus leaves points on the field...in every way imaginable.

Linehan was a genius week one. We looked like a genius because Gus made the throws and the recievers made the plays. If Gus makes the throws to Booker and Chambers in the end zone of Friday he looks like a genius again.

Would I like to see us run the ball a little more? Hell yah. That being said, when teams are playing 8 men in the box we have to throw the football.

To throw it we NEED a National Football League quarterback....something we do not have right now.

ON TOPIC: Getting Childress and Heckert would be a coup for the Vikings.
