News - Division Injuries Could Be An Advantage

that's brilliant. i'm glad someone else thought of this because i probably wouldn't have. the fact that harrison, light, spikes, and pennington being out could benefit us. who'da thunk it?

I came up with this article Monday. Jeff Darlington is real slow.

Shannon Sharpe also said this a few days ago on NFL Network

Pretty obvious observations...Injuries to Pats, Jills, and Jets help Phins....DOH!!!

The injuries are just a side track to the real deal. The real deal is that this team is not as bad as people make us out to be. And believe it or not....they still will be reserved about us. The injuries just become an excuse for the Jets and Bills and Patriots. Who gave a damn about us and all our injuries ever? Never. I kind of hate this crap because I think we can beat NE, the Jets and Buffalo, especially at home.

People are not even considering that Zach and company are still not totaLLY in step with the whole defense yet. We are a bit weak at CB. Questions abound about our rookie RB and OL, and our QB is just a caretaker guy..........and yet we still win. The fact remains that this team is not anywhere near its capabilities. That is why next year I believe is the year. Not this year, because the injury bug could hit us very soon too or we lose games at the very end because we didnt make a play. We still have a lot of work to do.........But then again, Saban knows that.

Yeah, well that was last week and this is now...We could be the next to lose a key guy...I have sympathy and empathy for those teams, despite how much I dislike them. I remember very well the Achilles injury of Marino...it was like the bottom fell out of our team...the fact is that this could happen to anyone, anytime...I am disappointed that we won't beat the Patsies, Jills, and Jests at full speed...that said, if an injury HAS to happen, other members of the AFCE is the best of a bad situation...

Okay - calm down. Don't be so quick to dismiss these teams b/c of the "star" player injuries.

Brooks Bollinger could easily have a solid impact on the Jets. His arm is stronger than Pennington's has been this season. I'm not saying he'll be another Tom Brady - but, the same kind of stuff was thought when Bledso was hurt and replaced by Brady. You just never know.

The Patriots have lost a lot of guys and it will be tough. But, this is not the 1st time it's happened to them. The way their secondary was last year, it just seemed impossible. This is why Saban was so concerned about depth through training camp and the bad play of the backups. If these teams have good depth, it may actually make them better as the teams rally around the replacement player.

Injuries are part of the game. You overcome the impact of them by having depth .The Pats have it.The rest of the division including us do not have it.Imagine if JT gets injured.Do we have an adequate replacement? I dont think so.
