Ronnie Brown (out for Week 13, hand surgery) met with a specialist Wednesday to find out how much time he might miss.

ESPN's John Clayton reports Ronnie Brown will likely miss two-to-three weeks after having five pins inserted into his broken hand last Friday.

um... bad news.

Slightly.

Putting a lot of pressure on Harrington and the passing game.

If I was a betting man I'd bet that losing Brown is a nail in the coffin of already bleak playoff hopes.

It certainly will be a huge damper on our team if he can't return for the New England game. *Exassperated gasp* I'm depressed about this. :boohoo:

EDIT: Does 2-3 weeks mean 2-3 games, or 14-21 days? 14 days would mean he would be ready to go for NE. :)

Good question. I think it means 2-3 games, since now they are a week apart.
I think he will be ready for the Bills game. I don't think he will make the Pats game.:(

At some point, we are going to need Ronnie back. I just pray that Sammy can hold the fort down for a game or two.

Now, I think back and wished we signed Najeh Davenport, I think he could have really been an asset to our team. JMO

I can agree with that.
Davenport is no superstar but he brings more to the table than Morris IMO.

I was actully thinking this the other day. The Steelers use him as a spell to Parker and I wish we had signed him. Either that, or never let go of Suggs.

I disagree with this notion. If there was a reason for things happening in the NFL, the Pats never would've won those Super Bowls, the Jets would never win a game and the Bills.... well it's obvious god hates the Bills. 0 for 4 and wide right!

I actually wanted Najeh over Suggs. But, Saban must know something about this Cobb kid.

I heard also on a radio station here that Antowain Smith has been mentioned as a possible signee.Might be too late though now.

Yeah we won't be bringing in any one new. Ronnie will only miss a couple of games at most so it would be pointless to bring in a noob to learn the system. I sure hope Cobbs is the homerun threat that all the Pats fans thought he was.

So why was Cobbs cut?? Was it to make room for Maroney???

Seems if he was so good, they would have traded him or tried to keep him somehow.

I hope that there loss is our gain.

A lot of people dont realize what a huge asset he is to our offense....it will be very hard to win without him

They were already deep at running back with two guys capable of getting 15 carries a game. It was basically because there wern't enough carries to go around and they could use the roster space somewhere else. Hopefully he can get a few carries and maybe break a big one.
