News out of minny

I just don't see Brees going to the Viks. They have too many other problems for him to end up there. They do have a ton of cash to throw at him but they don't usually overpay for players. I still feel like we have a better chance at him than they do...IMO.

I'm kinda surprised Childress hasn't gone after his former protega - A.J. Feeley.

I don't see Brees going to Minny. He would have to compete with Johnson to be a starter. In Miami, they are giving him the job without competition.

You don't risk your incentives by sitting on the bench. I don't think he goes to the vikes either.

I wouldn't count on that. Johnson isn't the QB of the future for that team. People seem to forget that the Vikings on the whole played a lot better in large part due to an easy stretch of their schedule, and it that it wasn't just Johnson replacing Culpepper.

I really dont think he would go either, I was just posting it to get a response, I would rather have brees myself, it would be a nice fit, plus he probably knows alot about hudson's work with the oline, schemes ect.. I have said it before, just please get a guy who is smart and efficient and can bring home a Lombardi

compete with johnson? i think that wherever brees goes he is going to be the starter. as a FA he is not planning to go and sit on the bench.

I was expecting that too. Figured the situation looked pretty accomodating with a cap friendly contract and the Chargers Fran Foley now in the Vikings front office.

Too bad. If they'd gone after Feeley, the Phins probably wouldn't have had to worry about the Vikings using their cap room to steal Brees away.

The weather in Miami tonight is fair and partly cloudy with a strong BREES coming out of the west.

Isn't Brad Johnson pretty old? So its not like he will be their starting quarterback for a number of years to come.

Would Brees really want to a place with:

1. Worse weather than Miami.
2. Less offensive talent than Miami.
3. A 1st time HC.
4. More competition at the position than Miami.
5. Less familiarity with the personnel (we've got Houck, Lemon, etc.)
6. A team further away from competing for a SB.

In addition to other things? I think there is no contest here, he comes to Miami if the contract we offer is fair.
