News Vans at the Davie Facility?

Nobody is anoitting him as Marino... or atleast they shouldn't be. But from the sounds of things, Manning is a lost cause for Miami. If that's the case I really hope we don't get caught up in his games, and miss out on other top FA's. as far as Flynn goes, it's hard to argue that he's the next best thing after Manning. But like you said, it's really Philbin's call here. I really think it's a debate between Philbin and Sherman, Flynn vs Tannehill. Whichever they decide is the better fit for the team, I'll trust that decision.

The fact that Philbin is all in on Manning, and the team is not concerned about Flynn speaks volumes.

Philbin is not interested in Flynn as a plan B, my guess is that they have decided to Draft a rookie with more physical upside and experience, and they have more faith in Matt Moore over Flynn as a starter than most of our FinHeaven brethren.

Flynn was a 7th round draft pick for a reason. Go back and look at his pre draft scouting reports. HE has a noodle arm.

Tannehill is a better athlete, with more game experience coming out of college. Much better upside. Sherman knows him well. Plus, his contract will be better toward the cap.
The choice between Flynn and Tannehill is easy.

Tannehill is not a given to be there for Miami. The Browns may draft him. The Seahawks may jump the Dolphins. Many folks, including the media in Miami, have been warning that the Dolphins could get left at the alter in terms of qb. If the Browns do not get Flynn they will likely take Tannehill. If the they do not take Tannehill, the good ole Rams have stated they would like to trade down again. There you are Seahawks. Does Miami want to trade up to the Viking pick and pay that price, or even with the Browns?

I watched video of Flynn's 6 TD performance last night and here we go:

TD 1 -> 7 yard TD pass that was all receiver. It was basically a toss out to the WR who was single covered. He stiff armed the corner to the ground at the line of scrimmage and had a sprint to the end zone afterwards
TD 2 -> 80 yard TD off of a screen. Flynn's contribution was a 3 yard dump off to the back. The rest was outstanding blocking and great running.
TD 3 -> 36 yard TD pass to the endzone where the receiver went up for it and pulled it down against single coverage, defender never made a play on the ball. Nice pass but nothing spectacular.
TD 4 -> 60 yard TD pass down the field to a receiver that had split the coverage. Ball slightly under thrown but a nice play all around and the nicest throw of all his TD's.
TD 5 -> 35 yard TD that was basically a 7 or 8 yard hook route that Driver turned upfield and took the rest of the way. More a nice run after the catch than anything else.
TD 6 -> 4 yard TD pass to the end zone where the receiver just cut under the coverage man and gobbled the ball in. Easy as pie.

So yes, it was a 6 TD performance but TD's 1, 2, 5 and 6 were passes that ANY QB in the NFL would complete. Heck, any backup QB in the NFL would complete those. TD's 4 and 5 were nice throws, but they were the types of passes that are on the highlight reel every week in cities around the league.

Well, we got the newsworthy piece. Unfortunately, not a good one with BMarsh being shipped off. Let's hope that isn't the Dolphins' only move today.
