Given how bad our QB situation is and how anemic our offense is in general, it is going to be hard to find an OC that has this job as their top choice. If that is the case, I'd rather not have that guy.

BUT, given our secondary and the potnetila for our defense, I think we should be able to get a very good defensive coach/DC in here to take the gig.

Anyone feel otherwise? You guys think we can land a great offensive mind?

I would love to see Gregg Williams here as HC with a stud OC to run the show.

Richards is my number one choice but defense or offensive minded I just want a coach with an overall vision for the team not like Gase who only cared about his offense.

It's still a scoring league so... If I had the choice between 2 equally talented potential HCs

with 1 being a D minded and the other O -- I'd lean towards the O and then focus on DC.

But of course you can win on the opposite pole as well...

Not sure how I feel about Flores. He does have experience on both sides of the ball, as well as ST, but not a ton at any one thing. I have to wonder why he was moved around so much with the Pats. I wouldn't think is was because he wasn't cutting it. That organization would just fire him, and move on. Apparently, BB trusts him to call the D, but guys from that organization have been lackluster, at best.

Are you kidding me? Offensive Coordinators would love this job.

Adam Gase, in the past two seasons, has run maybe the worst offense in the entire NFL over that span of time.

All you have to do with that job is not trip over your own feet throwing bubble screens on 2nd and 20 and calling draws on the ensuing 3rd and 17 and you will get the key to the city.

We’ve had offensive guys since Cam Cameron and I wonder if there is a correlation to how soft we have been, particularly in the Philbin and Gase eras. I would like to hire an elite defensive mind because I’m tired of soft finesse football. Gimme guys that want to rip heads off the opponents. Fangio, Richard or even Rizzi for me.

Lol solid point, but who’s gonna play QB? I feel like the lack of options at QB might scare away great OCs. Just a thought.

what differentiates Flo from all the rest is he came thru from the ground floor in same organization as Grier - New England. both started as interns, then scout runners, then college scouts, etc. it’s the scouting platform and eye for players that might put him a tick higher...

With the way the game has changed, I'd say it's most likely an offensive minded coach.
