My question is say we have Green for the season or two that we are all assuming he'll last. If Beck doesnt work out where do we go from there? Back to the draft to try to find a qb or try to trade for an already established one? I, like every other dolphin fan, have been waiting to have a SOLID qb since the days of danny boy.
 
If Beck doesn't work out? Geez lets give the guy a chance this year and next before we start talking about the next QB.
 
First off, Green is the man in 07' and possibly 08'. Beck will get a solid shot at the starting job starting possibly in 08' and probably will get at least 2-3 seasons to show his worth. Hopefully he works out, but if he doesn't, we probably wouldn't look elswhere for another starting QB until 2010 at the earliest. So, lets just sit back and hope for the best with Green and Beck. I really think Beck is the QB you have been waiting for since Dan.

Otherwise, our next starting QB may still be in High School.
 
I think our QB situation now is the best it has been since Danny boy left. If we can just get some blocking any of the three should be able to win games for us. :kick:
 
I guess we should jus live life day by day and not live life 2 years down the road. Beck could be the next Dan Marino..or he could be the next Ryan Leaf. We dont know, we can only hope he pans out well and we dont need to look for a QB in 2 years
 
Beck is a second rd pick. Realistically the Phins do NOT have that much tied up in Mr Beck.

I'm guessing he starts/sees significant snaps by week 8.

I pulling for J. Beck, but I've gotta be honest as well.
 
Guys, be patient!

I watched Beck for 4 years in college and he is a student of the game. I think he will be able to learn the complex playbook. I think he will adjust to the speed of the game. I think he will develop a great relationship with his receivers. He has a very strong arm and great accuracy to go with a quick release. My fear is the blind side. Our line has to be able to protect any QB. If Beck gets protection, he will be way more than just a servicable quarterback, he will be very good if not great.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet the house on it.

Curious...
What exactly has he done to be labelled a bust already without ever having taken a snap?
Or, were you just so disappointed that they didn't take Quinn that you are hoping he is a bust?
And where are these reports you have been reading "every day" that are telling you this?

Some people are clueless, the guy hasn't even played in preseason game yet and already he is a bust. :rolleyes:


I wish people could elaborate on why they have these outlandish premonitions.
