Next Overpaid Dolphins Who Need To Go

If we can get a second and a third, or a second and fourth, trade Achane.

Waddle should be held onto unless we can obtain a first and one other pick.
Are you saying Waddle is a better, more versitile player?

I ask because that's the only way that post would make any sense. AFAIC, Achane is clearly the bigger weapon of the two.

More salary impact (negative). I'd trade him too - and more likely first over Achane - if I could get the type of offer Buffalo made last fall.

They do need an FB in this scheme. Slowik had one when he was the Texans' OC. This will be basically the same as the SF offense. They, of course, have the best FB in the league.
IMO, keep Ingold, and draft or sign a UDFA FB to compete with him. FBs are undervalued, and Ingold was a UDFA once upon a time. Only 11 teams kept an FB on their 53-man roster last season. So, Ingold does not have unlimited options. When you figure two of those teams are SF and Balt with good FBs already on their rosters, that leaves only 8 other teams max that could be interested in Ingold. So he may stay for a lower salary if the team asks him.
Niners signed Rucci and converting him to fullback is what I’m predicting

To each his own opinion.
Waddle does catch and cradle with his body more than a normal receiver should, as we all know he also jumps when he doesn’t have to which is another sign of a lack of confidence in his hands.

Those are his flaws, he has good pros too but those two traits aren’t amongst them

I understand.

I just feel it'll be difficult to replace Waddle and Achane with equivalent talent/contribution from one draft class.
I don’t think a smart GM would trade Achane

What is friendly deal in 2026. Rb dont get paid that much money. If they want him. They make it wk.
Agreed here, Achane offers game changing ability being an explosive three down player with relative minimal cost.

To me when you are the complete package as a skillset player you are just as dangerous/weapon as a tight end or wide receiver.

Being a diverse weapon that is elite, it’s all the same in my book

There should be a thread on what will realistically happen. Realistically, I don't see Seiler/Achane moving or Miami signing MW

Man stop talking about trading Achane on of the most dynamic play makers on this team and in the whole NFL.
I don't want to but it's a business right? If some team pony's up say 18-20 m next year after a failed contract neg do we cave and get nada ala Grier style? Get an extension done asap to lock him in at 12-13m or so a year...the longer we wait the more we pay or lose out. He's the best player on our team and I want him unless say we get blown away by an offer.

If necessary you franchise him, and then if the offer is right trade him.

Then they must be ready to address an extension with him and the cost associated with it.
It’s all about relative cost to relative production and level of weapon

Achane is a young Bargain
