I'm fine with the draft. The only thing I'm worried about is the fact that we didn't get any help for our secondary. With Moss coming to the Pats (and it sounds like the weirdo is half-way motivated to play), I'm thinking its going to be a long year for our secondary. JT and Porter better get double digit sacks and eat QBs for breakfast, because I think our secondary will have trouble covering a team of nuns. Maybe Ginn can play alittle safety.

Thoughts?

Our DB's were fine when Mel Phillips was coaching them. I prefer to think that Nick Saban's involvement screwed them up.

I dont think Moss has put up big numbers here. NE will score with that offense they have. We better match point for point with our new speedy offense.

What's the status on Will Poole?

I wish we could recapture the early promise Poole showed his rookie season, and combine it with a 100% healthy and more mature Travis Daniels with a mix of a ready to step up Jason Allen. If all three of these guys could come close to their max potential, not to mention more Yeremiah Bell exceeding expectations, we could have one fine and YOUNG secondary.

But what's really the reality for all of this? I have no idea.

With Jason Allen being switched to Cornerback maybe they'll move Daniels to safety.

Miami does need to improve the current secondary. I am still on the fence about Jason Allen. I hope he works out even if he only turns out to be a nickel/dime back. It would appear that Miami will address this issue next draft. Let's just hope that Miami can pull another Patrick Surtain or Sam Madison from the next couple of drafts. If not Miami may end up over paying another Panther DB bust.

I'm pretty sure Daniels is supposed to be our nickel back. I think you'll see a DB taken next year in 1 of the 1st 2 rounds.

Our defensive backfield has the makings of a solid unit. Combined with a fearsome pass rush and hopefully and offense that will score more than 3 points a game, we are starting to improve.

The Pats are clearly the team to beat in our division, possibly the entire NFL. I think we should not be to concerned with beating them this season as, honestly, we are not SB contenders. Just keep improving the overall talent, build us up, and set us up for sucess. We will see this year if Randy will be good or not, if stallworth can stay healthy for a game or two, if Thomas will remain inspired etc etc.

After that and looking at our own team, we will make adjustments next year.
