Yes we have won 5 games in a row. Yes our star runner looked back to form today. Yes the defense is starting to play a lot better. Yes the offensive line has improved drasticly. But...

I believe next Sunday's game against New England really sums up our season and is monumental upon measurement for next season. Thikn about this, the fins are FINALLY playing good in December but, the cities have been Miami and San Diego ( not exactly tough cold towns). So I think if we can go into New England, and win a meaningless divisional game, it shows incrediable leaps and bounds to this teams character. It would be a real damper on this 5 game streak to go get embarrassed in Foxbourough. Another point being, it would give us a winning season, something NO ONE expected.

To me, this game means everything for the season and I thikn we can keep on rolling and pick up a win. 6 game winning streak going into '06 really is a huge advantage over a lot of other NFL teams. GO FINS!

I think this game is important to Saban because he gets a chance to not only split in the division, but he gets to pay back his boy Belichick.

When the fins first played the patriots, some sports analyst (cant remember, i apologize) declined to predict a winner, saying something along the lines of whoever wins the first outing will lose the second one. Belicheck and Saban are two strategic geniuses and will have eachothers number.

I'm not sure if I believe that, but I know for a fact its going to be one great game. We may not be ready to beat the patriots, but if there was ever a time in our schedule this year to take them on, its next sunday.

ckparrothead?

Game is going to be great. They don't like us and we don't like them. They beat us earlier this year and i think it's time for a little payback.

indeed, would be a heck of a momentum to carry to 2006..beating the pats, on the road, finishing strong 9-7 with a 6 win streak, would probably give Saban the Coach of the year award

I think the pats will play tough, and this will be one of the hardest games of the year..i don't think we'll win it, i hope they prove me wrong :dolphins:

It would be a big win for the franchise going forward.

Miami- on the rise
New England- on the decline

You can't say the Pats are on a decline yet. Yea they had a bad year compared to their normal years but they also had some injuries. I still believe there is a lot of work to do to compete with them for that division but with what Saban did this year I know that time is comming very soon. I really don't want to see the Patriots decline, I just want to see the Phins get a lot better and take that division.

Going to Foxboro under these circumstances will test the teams mettle. I have the bad feeling of an untimely let down game. I didn't even have this feeling on Mon. night last year. I guess it is just the last remaining remnants of ole Davie boy's regime that I haven't let go of yet. If Nick can pull this game out...man, I can't state how good I will feel about our future.

They're clearly on the decline, and yes injuries have a lot to do with it. There's just so long that a team can maintain the high level of play that the Patriots have displayed the past few years.
That's not to say they can't even win it all again this year, but it will take a monumental effort to overtake some of the other teams (Indy, Pitt, Cincy) just to get to the big game.
Hopefully the Phins, with Saban at the helm, can put together a team that can repeat what we've seen from this great Patriots team.

We are bringing it large and in charge! We are playing for Dolphin pride, and stepping it up inthe AFC East! If we can't get in the playoffs this year, we are going to send a message loud and clear family, that in 2006 we mean business, and we will be bringing a hurting all year long! Let's Go Dolphins!:beerbang:

I completely agree. Winning now is too late to do anything this season, but imagine what message this delivers to the fans and the players. Miami is back and with the way things are headed are better than they have been in my life time. Nothing against Marino, best there ever was or possibly ever will be, but the team Saban is putting together looks to be dynasty material in the near future.

I agree...

Saban if he wins the next game should be the coach of the year!!

We should be in the playoffs though

No excuse for losing the game against Kansas City Lineahn should of known to run the ball when u got 4 tries and u only have 5 yards to get there...

IM glad today he learned that Ricky is back and that Running the ball does help especaully when you dont have a Randy Moss but ill take a Chris Chambers any day:)

this wont be a meaningless division game, if we win we will be putting the patriots on notice that next year we arnt going to loss this division with out a fight. i mean we already semi proved it this year when we turned that corner, now we have a chance to at least end the season one game behind or even tie it up. plus this is are steppin stone , this week we find out if we can take it to the next level.
