Enough hoping for a playoff berth or to upend New England with a 41 Year Old QB by then. If Gase is to remain Head Coach it will be time to sh*t or get off the pot. I'm tired of all of the excuses. Fix ALL of the personnel issues during the offseason and coach them up to win the conference, at minimum. Tired of being mired in mediocrity or worse for so long now. 1972, 73 is not hacking it anymore. So I'm declaring next season a do or die year for this franchise otherwise it will be time to blow everything up and start from scratch. Get on board because this train leaves at midnight.................Who is reserving a seat??????:cigar

So...just to clarify...any head coach that takes over an organization...now matter how crappy a condition he took it over in...has three years to get to a SUPER BOWL, or they're gone?

Because the revolving door we've had here for the past two decades has worked so well?

Gase is "supposedly" an exceptional talent unlike the lackeys that we had as coaches in recent history. Time to prove it.

Let's try it this way.

From 1970 to 2004, the Dolphins had 3 head coaches. They appeared in 39 postseason games.

Since then, they have had eight head coaches, and appeared in two postseason games...one coached by the CURRENT HEAD COACH THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE HERE WANT GONE.

Time to put down the eggnog!

This train leaves at midnight and slides off the rails at 12.01 lol

Good thing this formula isn't applied to a lot of coaches like Reid who a lot of you hype up every year.

Keep in mind that this is my opinion and should be treated as such. No reason to take it personal or be mean about it. I've been a fan for close to 40 years.
I don't agree, but your right....it is your opinion and you are entitled to it.

Let's hope next year is a great one for this team!

Merry Christmas

To be fair, you're trying to rally people to your cause.

Adam Gase lost his starting QB, starting MLB, then had his replacement MLB go awol, had his offensive line coach resign after GETTING OUTTED FOR SNORTING COCAINE, had both a starting CB and a starting RB decide to freelance, so he got rid of them, and still went into Week 15 with an outside chance of making the playoffs. I'm not a huge fan of making excuses for people, but if you're going to try to get people on board with an "ultimatum year" after the nonsense that went on THIS year...well, good luck with that. You're going to get a little bit of mockery.

Fair enough NYC, if your genuine expectation for next year is a superbowl ring or broke then thats your right.

But I thought this was thread more related to frustrstion with today's crap game than a genuine belief this roster could win a ring. Perhaps I asumed wrong and I am sorry about that.

But looking at the idea literally? I dont think there is any way this roster could win a ring and that it would take more than 1 offseason to fix all of our many many problems - even if Shula was HC with Lombardi and Palpatine assisting him
