Assuming there will be no major, or career threatening injuries, what positions will Miami be looking to draft come next year?

Not looking for any specific names, because you never know where everyone will be picking from, just positions.

Thoughts?

Jerry Hughes, Sergio Kindle and Greg Hardy instantly come to mind for me. Especially with the new situation with Roth.

Depending on how Soliai, Cohen or Ellis do...Terrence Cody and Ndamukong Suh are high possibilities.

We will be looking at ILB, NT/DT and RB. Maybe OLB and G/C. The rest would be the Best Player Available..... I guess

If Soliai doesn't look like a starter this year, NT will be one of the first positions addressed. If he looks good, then we'll still address NT, but maybe later.

I think we'll be looking at 'backers early (OLB and ILB. Need to find a replacement for Peezy, and Wake might not be it. Channing needs a decent compliment next to him...Ayodele is serviceable but we need better.

A lot depends on what we see this year. This is the year for many of our young guys to show us what we have in them.

Can you change the word 'considering' to 'assuming'?
So much less karma that way...

As of right now we should take a NT(or 2 knowing this regime), ILB, Interior Line Depth, RB, and add a secondary player to the mix. But teams change drastically every year so you never know what is going to happen for the Draft next year. I really only pay attention to the draft when our season is over. In this years case, that should be early February.

ILB, NT/DT, OLB - I think these three positions are locks...after that I would say O-line depth (with more attention at guard), then RB.

Draft next year.

1- Dominant NT. Fergusan is getting older and we need a more dominant player at the most important position in the 3-4 D

2- Workhorse HB. Only if Brown dosent resign for some reason, if we resign Brown we wont need a HB here.

3- Pass Rushing OLB. Porter and Taylor are getting older and you cant have to many good pass rushing OLB's in a 3-4.

4- Speed WR. To help Ginn stretch the field and keep both safetys back opening up things underneath.

5- Productive ILB- To replace either Crowder or Ayodele whichever isnt producing enough, we need more out of our ILB's.

6- Backup QB- If Penny dosent resign with us well need a backup to Henne and White, if Penny resigns well be fine here.

7- Backup Olineman- Only if some of our current backups dont pan out, i think well be fine though since Tuna and company have brought in lots of talent on the Oline.

8- Backup NT- If Soliai, Cohen, or Ellis dosent pan out.

I think we will be able to fill all our holes during next years Free Agency, Draft, and Possible Trades, and if we do we will be serious Super Bowl contenders, with a break or 2 we could get to the Super Bowl this year IMO.

NT might be our only real need.
It's interesting when your team is seemingly set for the upcoming season, how much more difficult it makes your draft seem. I mean, it's too easy to piss away picks (Eddie Moore).

I would like to speculate but if Turner keeps getting better i would say WR is out and BP doesnt take NT's high so look 2nd or 3rd round there.

Pass rush OLB is prob the best bet for early on.....then a MLB i would not be surprised if we take 2 or 3 LB's with our first 3 picks

we need some youth at olb (Porter and JT starting) and at nt.

on offense we need some youth at rb. Ricky is getting up there in age, and in the NFL, two rb's are needed.

defense should be our first priority, but I wouldnt be surprised if we took a dropping rb.

OLB will probably be a huge need with JP & JT being as old as they are because we can't expect matt roth to be a play maker

ILB would be huge too because of Crowders bad knees and plus it shouldn't be hard to upgrade over Akin. Don't want to think of our LB corp with Torbor as a starter...

DT we really have no haynesworth/wilfork/jenkins type of guy there...we need to find something special because thats the key to the 3-4 scheme

RB (later rounds) find a replacement for ricky...hes getting up there in age. I hope we keep the guy until he retires cuz hes always been one of my favorite players of all time even with his little drug incident.

OL (later rounds) need depth

WR (possibly early) believe me i love the guys we have but if ginn doesn't turn into the #1 steve smith type player that we need, we have to consider getting a play maker. Otherwise i don't think we take a receiver
