Now I may be getting a bit ahead of myself, but if we miss out on a decent quaterback prospect this year (not saying we will, but I'm not particularly sold on any of this years second tier players past Tret Edwards) who will we be hoping for next year? (also I'm pretty bored)

Brian Brohm and Colt Brennan are obvious options, but who else will be intriguing (assuming they can come out next year)?

A few possibilities seem to be: Chad Henne (Michigan), Colt McCoy (Texas) and John David Booty (USC). Anyone else you guys think is worth watching?

Dude that's fine, but that aint what this thread is about. Like I said, IF we dont take a QB this year what do we do next year?

Morelli has possibly the strongest arm in the NCAA right now. Needs a good season decision making wise, which he lacked last season, this season to create any steam, but has great size and arm strength.

We will probably be taking a QB every year as long as Mueller runs the drafts. Whether it be early or late in the drafts. Mueller likes to have a stable of QB's in his arsenal, because they garner the best value in trades usually.

Mueller has said this but his history does not show a major propensity to do this. The only Qb he seemed to draft in Seattle was Brock Huard.

If we cut Pep, pick up Green and draft a QB this year, we better be looking at a QB next year. Green might only have a year or two left and that would leave us with a rook and Cleo.

Colt Brennan - his arm, release, etc reminds me of Jeff George.

Wow, no one has mentioned Andre Woodson yet??

He's gonna be a stud.

This seems to be the Fins luck next we need a QB and LT, but next years draft is better and deeper in both. Just like when we had the 2nd overall, it happened to be a year that lacked top Franchise type QB's. Though I would really like to get a QB this year Quinn or there are some nice second round type QB's this year. Then we can draft o-line some and see what Alibi can do. If that Alibi other kids can't get the job done on LT/oline get one next year. Next years LT talent is unreal probably the stongest position in the Draft.
Rank Player Height Weight Year School
1 Jake Long 6-7 315 Jr. Michigan
2 Sam Baker 6-5 305 Jr. USC
3 Gosder Cherilus 6-7 320 Jr. Boston College
4 Kirk Barton 6-6 310 Jr. Ohio State
5 Heath Benedict 6-6 320 Jr. Newberry
6 Barry Richardson 6-7 335 Jr. Clemson
Thats just the guys that will be SR's next year. Then throw in Jared Gaither, who may develop into a Pace type LT and next years LT prospects are insane
