[h=2]Offensive Player of the Week: Jay Ajayi, Running Back, Miami Dolphins[/h] Ajayi nearly won this award last week, but was just pipped at the post by Odell Beckham. Well that’s not happening this time. The London-born running back became just the fourth person in NFL history to rush for 200 yards in back to back games, and he did it with supreme style; Muscling through tackles and burst through gaps. He has taken to Miami’s zone scheme with great aplomb and is keeping Arian Foster firmly on the sideline. Ajayi’s 214 yards came on 28 carries and broke the back of a Bills team who were hoping to keep pace with the Patriots in the AFC East. If anyone will be annoyed their bye week has arrived it will be Ajayi.
[h=2]Coach of the Week:
Runner Up: Adam Gase, Miami Dolphins[/h]Gase has turned the Dolphins around in a big way. After cutting dead weight and getting his best linemen on the field they have focused on the run game and it’s paid huge dividends. Gase has also slowed down the offense to allow Tannehill to process things and the line to get their blocks communicated better. Few coaches will compromise principles like that to work with the pieces they have but Gase has showed how he was able to have success everywhere he’s been.
