New projection has Wilma far, far west of SoFla at 2pm on Sunday.

We TOTALLY could have held this game Sunday at 1pm in nothing more than a windy drizzle.

KC's travel might've sucked, but that would've been the only issue.

they travel on a team charter with some of the best amenities imaginable...

Hurricanes are unpredictable.. It could turn as late as Saturday and whack right into us...The NFL acted appropriately.

Yeah but then theres a good chance KC would have either had to stay and ride out the hurricane somewhere or fly home in extremely poor conditions, which isn't safe. I think playing on Friday night is a good idea.

In all fairness some sort of decision had to be made pretty quickly. Players, coaches, etc all have families to consider; the media needs to have a definite time and date. You can't expect everyone to take a wait and see attitude up until the last minute. IMO it was the right call.

Exactly....

You can't predict what will happen once the front takes it, and pulls it towards us. It could be here much quicker than expected. I think the league made the correct decision....

It's to our advantage really, because the Chiefs wont be coming in until tomorrow morning....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

True, but they could have come up with some other options. Moving the game to a neutral site, for one. Jax, Carolina, or Atlanta could have hosted it. It would deprive the home fans, but at least everybody would get to see it.

As the old quote says, "Better safe then sorry". Especially when it involves players, coaches, refs, and fans.

Those outside of Florida are spoiled in a way. Hurricanes dont come to where we live, so it isnt a big deal to us. Have awareness

They made the right call. Gives Fin players time to get their stuff in order after the game and before the hurricane. Sucks I won't be able to see the game but they were right.

No sense in taking chances. They made the right move and those of us that wont get to see the game will just have to deal with it.

They made the right call.

Besides, it gives the Fins an advantage by moving the game up to Friday.

I think that would be a horrible option. I prefer the move to Friday night.

As far as a time change, yes, the NFL acted properly. By not allowing fans to see the game - that is not proper at all. They should be ashamed of themselves for that.

Absolutely....ask the folks in NO if they think the move was the right one...you just can't fool with mother nature !!

That's simply not true. It is not a matter of not having ppl in the stadium. It has to do with giving the ppl of Miami and the Keys the opportunity to leave if they want to. If you have a game going on around that time that would screw up the traffic situation to say the least.
