NFL.com: Future NFL general managers

Don't think DeCosta is leaving Baltimore. Gaine could be one of our better options but he worries me a little being from the line of Parcells.

Darlington, who is like the only reporter I actually trust on Dolphins news, said that it's not going to be Gaine. Interesting. I wouldn't have been opposed to that.

DeCosta is the best of that list, too bad that's a pipe dream, cause he's a Balt. Guy and next in line for that GM spot after Ozzie.

So was Bill Bellicheck at one time. Every candidate has to be judged on their own merits. Parcells doesn't control his thoughts.

Reason I really like Tobin:

Cincinnati's problem is very clearly NOT their roster. Good God, is that team loaded.

I really like Jason Licht, who started his NFL career with the Miami Dolphins, just read about him and you'll see he's got some merits

I say keep it in house and Just promote Gaine to GM, he's more than likely out of all those GMs to work with Philbin not against him.

Nick Caserio, Eliot Wolf, Chris Ballard, Trent Kirchner are all 'future' GM's... I don't think they're what we need 'now'. Dolphins need a right now GM... balls out leadership... a master builder... Pioli?

WOW!!

the best PROVEN personel guy on the list who has been around and is a mature, respected nfl figure, doesnt even get a nod so far.

TOM GAMBLE is my choice out of a list of some good prospects. gaine can go somewhere else, we just got rid of ireland and i dont want another of the parcell lineage running the show.

my second is CHRIS BALLARD from the chiefs.

JASON LICHT is my third. close second actually. you cant deny the cards have brought in some REAL talent lately thats getting it done.

and as badly as i would like to put the pats guy on the list, the constant on that team is BILL BILLICHEK and he hasnt missed a beat since any of his people have gone on to other gigs, front office or coaches. and brady makes them ALL look good!!

WHAT I WANT TO HEAR OUT OF MIAMI is not all about friendships and getting along and hugging and carring. i want to hear "we like this guy because he has been a stellar, proven talent evaluator". end of story.... PERIOD!!! i see aponte wanting people she is comfortable with first and foremost, especially if she [God forbid] is our new gm. we WILL be gang green south if she is given the gig.

this team ABSOLUTELY HAS TO BRING IN A REAL TALENT GUY WHO KNOWS HOW TO DRAFT or getting rid of ireland is all for nothing.

Scott Pioli is as big a joke, if not more so, than Jeff Ireland.

From what's being reported about the Dolphins GM job, don't expect Cards VPP Jason Licht to be a candidate.

ESPN's Cardinals guy. It would be disappointing if we refused to look into him. Typical for this franchise, but disappointing.
