Diehard Phinatic!
The Peyton Manning sweepstakes moved onward Sunday morning, with the four-time NFL MVP arriving at the Arizona Cardinals' team facility.
Manning made his arrival with Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt, stepped out of a white SUV and nodded and waved to cameramen as he walked past a security gate and into a building. A few minutes earlier, Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald also arrived at the facility in a separate car.
Manning was expected to meet with Cardinals coaches and officials Saturday night and Sunday, according to The Arizona Republic. The Cardinals had no comment.
NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora reported the quarterback is set to return to Miami on Sunday following his visits with the Broncos and Cardinals, and could meet soon with the Dolphins, according to league sources. As the field narrows among the suitors for Manning, other teams -- beyond the Broncos, Cardinals and Dolphins -- are still relatively in the dark about the process and are uncertain they will get a meeting, league sources told La Canfora.
