Your naiveté is perfectly understandable, guys. But trust me, Bills vs. Dolphins is still viewed as a huge and bitter rivalry in Buffalo and Miami. It is still considered an important measuring stick of the quality of each team. By whom? By the fans. After all, they're the ones that always do the most to fuel the passion found in all rivalries. They're the ones who remember the classic games, such as the Bills' 17-7 victory on Sept. 17, 1980, that snapped the 20-game losing streak, and the Dolphins' 24-17 triumph on Jan. 2, 1999, ending a three-game playoff losing streak to Buffalo.

pretty good article talking about the rivalry between Miami and Buffalo through the years.. a much better rivalry than that of the Miami and Jets rivalry in my opinion
