Before Tony Sparano goes all Tony Sparano on us, and spearheads a team that features Daniel Thomas and a 1-yard cloud of dust, let's see if Chad Henne's hurt feelings give him the eye of the tiger. Defensively, Jared Odrick and Koa Misi could make a young unit formidable. Still, throw the ball downfield occasionally, please.

Behind the likes of the 49ers, Vikings, Titans. Seems like most networks don't enjoy the dangling of Chad Henne.

Bulletin board material. This team is hungry and has something to prove. I can't wait to climb up those rankings.

Worse than the 49ers? I think that is unfair, but our place on that ranking is justified. We have some great talent and a top 5 defense, but until we can start winning games we belong near the bottom. Hopefully Sporano is fired up to do something about it.

not sure bulletin board stuff motivates us. u would have though we would be motivated against the past once last year but not.

I like being underrated. We have a group of players that will definitely take this with a chip on their shoulders. Our leaders (Dansby, Long) will not take too kindly to this and will probably look to punish some people on the field for this low ranking.

Where was Kansas City in the power polls this time last year? I guarantee you it wasn't close to where they're at now. Imagine what winning some games does to the opinions of writers I've never heard of.

So they've got us starting out as the 8th worst team in the league.. We picked 15th in the draft, made some upgrades to our team, our young defense gained a year of experience, yet we are picked to do worse? 20th would have been acceptable. Despite saying that, I really don't care about where we are ranked because at the end of the day, the games will be played, but I just question some of these "experts" logic. Anybody I talk to about football that's not a Phin fan, they laugh when I tell them the Phins have a top 10 defense. And don't believe we were 6th until googling the facts. That just goes to show you that the average fan gains their opinion from the media from these "experts" which can be frustrating.

Bucs were 22nd last year, Chiefs 26th, Bears 27th. There's always a few teams that just shock the hell out of ya, and I think the Fins are well on their way to being a surprise team this year.

I think the niners will be one of the suprise teams this year.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the 49ers with a better record this year. They should have won their division...and that division sucks. 7-9 got Seattle a division championship and a playoff birth.
