If he is still on the board at 11, I would take him every day and twice on Sunday.:thumbsup

Notre Dame guard Quenton Nelson is a unique talent. (AP Photo/Michael Conroy)

INDIANAPOLIS — He probably won’t be available when the Miami Dolphins draft at 11th overall.
And you may never have heard of Quenton Nelson. And you may think it’s absurd to even consider drafting an offensive guard that high.
But NFL personnel don’t feel that way. In fact, they think if he wasn’t a guard he’d for sure be one of the first few picks in this draft.

Then in 4 yrs you would be paying him $14 million + to keep him. In the salary cap era, money is better spent elsewhere on more valuable positions.

Nelson looks like a future all pro, you can get away with overpaying some guys if they are actually good and healthy.

Or we can draft another Devanta Parker, Juwuan James, Dion Jordan, Jason Allen...and so on, and not even have a guy who's worth signing to a second contract.

If this team had been drafting BPA for the last 10 years instead of trying to draft for specific positions, we may actually have some talent on this roster.
