Nfl Draft Breakdown: Round 1: Picks 6-10

Anthony Spencer over Jamaal Anderson? Thats a little surprising. I would not be at all surprised if Spencer outperforms him and wins Defensive Rookie of the year though simply because he is a perfect fit in Dallas. Still, I think Anderson is the better talent.

Anthony Spencer just impressed me much more on film. Like I was saying I didn't get a chance to see much of Anderson, but he certainly put up monster numbers this past season at Arkansas. The beautiful thing about the NFL Draft is that it is one of the most talked about events in all of sports and everybody has a different opinion. I love to hear so many different people talk about the draft, football is such a great sport.

just the fact that we got john beck in the second round makes me feel good about our pick.. i think that tedd ginn gives us that same reggie bush factor i spoke of on another post. along with lorenzo booker.. omg we are gonna look like the freakin saints but with a better defense.. can any other person see the same thing im seeing?

I love Ginn's acceleration ability and like I was saying he reminds me of a blend of Hester and Reggie Bush.. he can't make lateral cuts nearly as smoothly as Bush, but his acceleration his absolutely out of this world! It's going to be really fun to watch the Dolphins offense and I am just interested to see when they hand the keys over to Beck. I realize he struggled in mini-camp, but that is to be expected. Once that guy gets comfortable in his surroundings and gets used to the offense, look out! Booker was so underrated and he was one of my favorite tailbacks in the draft. FSU didn't give him the ball enough and decided for years to put the ball in the hands of an inexperienced-lesser talented player in Drew Weatherford. Booker is a phenomenal return man as well, he's so explosive and also has good hands out of the backfield. I think he's gonna do big things.

excellent article. the more I hear about Ginn, the more I forget about Quinn.

I think the Phins will allow Booker and some other guys to return kicks and let Ginn handle the PR's because doing both would hinder Ginn's development as a WR. And that is the #1 thing we need Ginn to do: develop as a top-notch WR, not a glorified RS taken in the Top 10 of the Draft. Cam and Randy would look completely stupid if they did not realize this.

It's really rediculous how fast Ginn accelerates. I mean I've seen a LOT of football over the years but I cannot think of anyone that got to top speed faster than Ginn does.

You guys should read the rest of the John Beck analysis and plus the audio he did about him, I think Beck, Ginn and Booker will improve our offense greatly. With Samson S. and Paul Soliai they are going to be outstanding, we need to keep an eye out on Drew Mormino he might be a steal.

Are you kidding Ginn reminds me of the x factor in KC.....how is he at wr........nothing special at #9 not a good pick........lower yes

I agree with you outlaw2du, the only person I would say accelerates faster than Ginn is Devin Hester... either way they are about even in their ability to just kick it into another gear to help them fire through the seam. Both of this players were just blessed with an acceleration level that cannot be matched by any other football player in the game.
