I know this is only a guideline. I'm thinking that, depending on how things shake out, we might consider trading up 2-3 spots to get who we want IF it only costs around a 3rd round pick.

i thought we didnt have a 3rd round pick this year via Kenny Stills??

I'm thinking we have a lot of holes to fill and trading away picks won't help us get better any faster.

That was last year.

Who do we want that won't be there when we pick, Ramsey ?

I'd rather go the other way and get extra picks or stay where we are and hope Hargreaves is still available. It's possible that someone will want a QB and we may use that as trade bait.

I'm not sure how much this is still used with the new CBA, but it is a decent baseline

Very outdated . . . and IMO, it cost much more to move up in today's NFL.

The concept of getting an elite player in the draft for 4 to 5 years at a substantial bargain is soo valuable, especially for a QB. When teams were giving out those unbelievable Sam Bradford contracts . . . teams often shyed away from those deals because of the cost and also losing draft picks.

How many GMs are actually still using this chart? It's from what, the late 1980s or 1990s?

Soo many things to be sorted out by new coaches with OV, Wake, Grimes. Miller, Shelby, and maybe even Albert. Then there is who we can add in FA.

At this point, I want a play making DB and I don't see that changing. I can envision moving up a bit to get one, depending the cost. I would not be locked into keeping a 3rd rounder IF it meant getting who we wanted. What has the third round brought us in recent history? I want to take our best shot at a potential star, and we are in position to maybe do so.

I know this chart is old but, do not know of a better guideline. I would be curious to see draft trades made over the last few years and how they compared to this chart. We may be able to bring it up to date.

Due to the new CBA, I would keep QB's separate. How did our Jordan trade up compare to the chart?

Took a look at the Jordan trade. We moved from 12 to 3, a 1,000 point difference. We added the #42 pick, worth 480 points.

We got a great deal. LUCKY us. LOL

Was the weakest top 12 of the draft in NFL history lol . . . and teams were selling low . . . It happens.
Picks and Money baby!!!
