Mods--feel free to move this if it doens't belong here....

That said, I'll be in Scotland this year during week 2 and 3 of the NFL season---Does anyone know if NFL games are available there in pubs? Is there any sort of blackout on American Football there?

I've never been, so I really have no idea---but I don't want to miss any football if possible.

if not i guess theres always highlights on nfl.com and they might get sportcenter but i dont know sorry.

I lived there ten years ago, at St. Andrews. Even then you got the high lights on Sky TV. The time difference is effed up, five hours ahead of east coast US and eight ahead of West, so there may not be much live time availability but they will have condensed games on the late night tube. You can watch a game in about an hour. Buy yourself a Canadian Maple Leaf lapel pin for a warmer reception.

Sky sports. Livr coverage of at least 2 games a week plus updates and other coverage.

I have never seen the games in pubs in this country, but sky sports channel has 2 games on Sunday nights from 6pm til 12:30 am Monday, and usually covers any Thursday or special games too. Channel Five covers Monday night games starting around 2:00am Tuesday.

Look out for coverage on NASN this year, as their web site is promising live games.

There is, as people mentioned, football coverage on Sky Sports but I can't see them showing any regular season games in pubs. There just isn't the interest. Where I live, you couldn't even get to see the Superbowl in a pub.

you won't get the games in many pubs i'm afraid, but sky sports do cover them. if you can't get that in the flat/hotel you're staying in then your best bet might be to find either a small bar that has sky sporst & is willing to switch it over for you, or a sports bar.

there's a sports bar in edinburgh that you'll likely be able to get a game at, time difference permitting.

I watched the last superbowl here in a weatherspoons Pub, ''The White house''

reading above.... NASN promised last year games, but couldnt reach a deal and never showed any NFL boohoo.
