NFL May Fine Saban For Remarks

if they are gonna fine coaches for speaking their minds why dont they start fining refs for making stupid calls.
 
After closely watching Saban coach my beloved LSU Tigers for 5 years, I've become trained to react like this: "Saban got pissed at the refs --- the refs must have screwed up."

Nick knows the game so well and the only time he gets on the officials is when they clearly blow a call, or aren't calling the game both ways.

You guys have a stud coaching your team. It will become apparent soon enough.

Stupid. Is the NFL going to fine the refs who screwed up in the Giants/Seahawks game? Probably not. But if the Seahawks would have lost and Holmgren said something about the refs giving the Giants 2 TD's then you know he would have been fined.

I'm glad Saban is saying something about it. I thought it was a BS call as well. Players shouldn't be able to ask for flags and get them. Chambers never gets his flags.

Absolutely. I'm driving up there Friday after work. Should be a great game and atmosphere.

And I bet NS watches on TV while he takes a break from gameplanning on how he's going to be the Bills and start the Miami playoff run.

It's alright, i'm pretty sure that referees have to go and watch what some of their superiors made for them on tape and correct it come the next week.
But I think it's ok that the NFL fine Saban for that, although it was a bad call and straight after a game I would be pretty sure it's hard to keep feelings in about it.
 
bell did plow through him and the ball only landed a foot or two in front of the reciever.

i dont really care if he gets fined, but i dont think he said anything that bad at all

And it's becoming a common occurance around the league. It seems everytime I watch a game these days it seems LATE flags are coming in because a player whines after a play. Its so stupid.
