I saw this on NFL Network this morning and didn't understand why Minnesota would be a choice for JT. I know he is getting old, but I figured he would retire as a Dolphin. But I guess Jason Taylor may fall out of the same escape hatch that Zach Thomas did. Start E-Bay-ing 99 jerseys.

they were sayin the same thing on sirius lastnight when i was on my way home.

They were talking about the Vikings needs. They said that since Udeze would be out this year, possibly for his career. Taylor would be a perfect fit. Fast, edge rusher type. No real speculation at all.

Well if they think JT is worth just a second round pick, they better think again. Chris Chambers went for a 2nd round pick and I think JT is a far better player then Chris...regardless of the age.

it was all just talk. They said JT would be a good fit in Minnesota and their opinion was that all it would take was a 2nd rounder. Nothing Substantial. The same guys said that Jacksonville was interested in JT for their 1st rounder.

Sorry I didn't clarify. It was opinion based on the Vikings' needs. My question is...Do you think JT is going to be on the trading block so Parcells & Co. can acquire another 1st day / late first round pick? or 2 2nd round picks? I am starting to think that if an offer comes our way then Howie's kid may be wearing teal and orange before Jake Long will. It is going to be an interesting 1.8954 weeks until the draft, ladies and gentlemen. GO PHINS!

He'll be 34 years old next season! How would you guys feel if the Dolphins gave up a 2nd round pick (or more) for a 34yr old player? A player with a very good chance of retiring after one more season? I know I wouldn't be happy. I think a 2nd rd pick is good value for him. If he's more valuable to just hold onto, thats fine too.

It doesn' matter as long as he's not playing like he's 34. The guy is atheletic. He's 34 years old and dancing with the best of them.

We gave up a 2nd for AJ Feeley. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!

since he is still under contract it is the choice of the dolphins. if taylor were to be released ala zach(which would be absurd) then taylor could choose...or just retire if he doesn't want to play in minnesota like plummer did to the bucs.

If losing JT makes the team better...I'm all for it. I like JT a bunch, but like the Phins best.

The age does matter regardless of how well he's playing right now.

Based on your logic, if Brett Favre wanted to play again we should have to give up two 1st round picks for him....based on his overall value to the team and the level at which he's playing.

How good of a player you're getting in a trade is the first consideration, how many years he'll be playing for you at a high level is the 2nd consideration.

I still think all this talk is just talk and that JT will be in a phins uni come September. He is worth more to us staying here a couple more years than somewhere else for a measly second rounder. We have a pretty good draft right now as it stands. JT gone only spells a huge hole now opened up when many more holes need plugging.

Now if someone wants to offer multiple picks with a second rounder, that is entirely different. The friggin Bills gave up two picks for someone who is worse so....

You wouldn't be sayiing that if you were a Vikes fan. I love JT and would be happy with him returning. Still, you have to admit he was on the decline last season. Our passrush was awful and some of that blame has to go on JT. He was invisible at times with many of his sacks coming from QB's taking entirely too much time in the pocket. The Dolphins made guys like Trent Edwards look like Tom Brady. Don't get me wrong, JT is still a top player, maybe just a little overrated though. I know we all love him but if the Fins decide to deal him, I won't be upset with getting a 2nd rd pick in return.
