And why he dropped so far...Shula calling Pitt head coach...Marino in TC...Mentioned as being the best QB to ever play the game. John Clayton comparing him to Joe Namath and saying he is even better than Namath...I love all the love we are getting from NFL network tonight

comparing Marino with Namath is an insult, its like comparing Michael Jordan with Mike Bibby

Well, at least Marino and Namath both played the same position. Jordan and Bibby did not. Kinda funny, but your example is even worse. If you're gonna slam someone else for their comparison, at least come up with a better one.

How about comparing Michael Jordan to Clyde Drexler? That makes a little more sense.

I think the comparisons back when Marino was drafted had to do with arm strength, delivery, footwork, etc... and not with how his career turned out.

Drexler had success throughout his career which culminated with his ring with Houston. Namath had a fairly average career except for one season where his "guarantee" made him more famous than his skills.

Namath did help to win a pretty big Superbowl that put the AFL on the map.

Your missing the point.

Marino and Namath both played QB. They both played in SuperBowls. And they both are in the Hall of Fame. Sure, Marino was world's better, but that wasn't the point.

Michael Jordan and Mike Bibby didn't play the same position. Jordan has played in and won championships. Jordan is in the Hall of Fame. Bibby has done neither.

At least the Marino/Namath comparison has some merit.

Bibby is a point guard and Jordan was playing point guard at the end of those dynasty teams, as well as other positions, i.e. shooting guard, small forward. And the comparison is valid, don't be such a stickler.

Michael Jordan never played point guard! If anything, it was Pippen who ran the point, and created the phrase "point forward"

i thought BJ Armstrong played the point....but i hate basketball so i'm prob wrong...
