NFL Network: Packers will not tag Flynn for a possible trade.

WELL, i guess the feelers on the pack had out on flynn were a little more realistic than they had hoped.

bad for the pack, but saved some desperate gm his job for another year or two.

he will still make some bank though. some team will still have that FLUKE game in the heads and pay through the nose.

hopefully, not us!!!

Which game was a fluke? The 480 yards and 6 TDs vs the Lions, the 251 yards and 3 TDs vs the Patriots or the 4 TDs in the BCS National Title game for LSU?

u do realize every qb, even the worst ones can have good games.

also, those games u just listed were each at least more than a year apart from eachother, which shows no consistency. thats what separates the great/good qbs in the nfl from the average/below average, consistency.

Show me a bad QB that has thrown 6 TDs in an NFL game.

dude, who gives a **** if he threw 6 tds. of course that specific game was very impressive, but if that is your argument as to why he will be a great qb, thats lame.

just like if a great qb has an historical bad performance it does not make him awful, same vice versa. its one freaking game.

their is a reason why he fell all the way to the 7th round, and yes i know all the flynn supporters will say it means nothing, and they will also bring up the rare guys aka tom brady who fell that far and became all time greats, but the odds are he will amount to nothing more than an avg qb at best, if that.

also he u do realize he was playing on the best team in football, no pressure, vs a horrible secondary that game. not taking anything away, its a great single game, but that does not make him great.

No one is saying that he is great. Only that he could be. His sample size has been small but impressive.

He was drafted in the 7th round because he sat behind Jamarcus Russell and when he started his senior year he severely injured his ankle in the 2 nd game.

i highly doubt even if everything fell into place he would ever become ''great''.

also, why was he ever sitting behind jamarcus russell to begin with, why wouldnt such a great talent like him be given a scholarship to play somewhere where he would be the starter?

look, forget college now, its been a long time, but watching him play, not including stats, i just dont see a very good qb. i see a qb who takes many sacks, not a good arm, is more a system qb, i just dont see it.

time will tell though.

NO WAY! Miami has the Packers by the cajones, he(flynn haven't done anything in the NFL so why pay him like he has? Bring in manning with an incentive laden contract, draft a defensive end and get your QB in the second round. This team can compete with manning, not so with flynn.
