Rich Eisen of the NFL Network reports that Miami's initial 4th round pick offer (for Surtain) from K.C. will now be moved up to a higher draft choice.

Since it has already been established that K.C. cannot trade this year's 3rd, it's almost inevitable that their 2nd will be involved.

There was no indication that Miami would have to compensate with a later round draft pick.

(Sorry if this is old news)

I would hope KC would be willing to offer us a better pick otherwise they can take their 4th and shove it.

Is there a chance K.C drafts our player at the 3rd round and trade the player to us.I no they cant trade the 3rd round pick, but a player trade might be differant.Any one no on that.

just send that 2nd on down here already so we can ship the CB goods up there already. The Faster we receive payment (2nd rounder) the faster they'll recieve their merchandise....(Surtain)

That's an interesting point which I haven't seen brought up before.......but I'm sure that the NFL has accounted for it in their rules in some way.......most likely you can't trade the players rights, probably could after they're signed....but then you have to eat the bonus. Nice point though.

We should be getting a first for pat... But I'm not even gonna go their right now.... Its too damn early

theres no way that they could pick up a better shut down corner in the first round this year.... the first would be suffice

I would of thought another team would of offered a 3rd round pick for pat, since K.C. can't trade their's. pat would be a steel for a 3rd.

It had better be a high 3rd rounder. We gave up a second rounder for him to draft him, he is a pro bowler, and by all accounts, he is worth a second rounder. Feeley is not worth a second rounder.

It IS gonna happen. There is NO other option! THey're 3rd is not tradeable, and we won't accept their 4th rounder. Their only option is to give up their 2nd, which they seem ready to do now, or a future pick. I would be open to making a trade for a REAL quality player. Like a strong Offensive Lineman. Either way it should be a 2nd rounder or higher. The closer we get to the draft, the higher the urgency gets.

A first next year wouldn't be that bad either. Maybe a 5th or 6th this year, just to get something this year, and then their #1 next year.
